There are two choices for creation: Basic and Advanced. Both allow for your viewing screen to conform to industry standards in profile creation. Customer Benefits  Create a ‘Baseline” for your viewing screen.  Allows an opportunity to match multiple monitors to a reference monitor and ensures accurate soft-proofing of documents on screen.  Easy-to-use interface simplifies the monitor profile creation process. Objectives of Exercise  Create an ICC monitor profile  Compare a before & after calibration  Save the created ICC profile Before you begin  Install and launch Fiery Color Profiler Suite 3.1  Connect a licensed EFI ES-1000. The device will be used to capture screen measurements Note: EFI Educational Services Each monitor device type will have different attachments for capturing your measurements, use caution in selecting the proper monitor attachment tool to use with your EFI ES-1000. Oct.-11 Create a Monitor Profile with CPS v3.1 Creating a Monitor Profile 1. Launch Color Profiler Suite. Create Profile and Evaluate Profile window opens (Shown above left) 2. Click Monitor button, Fiery Monitor Profiler window opens (Shown above right) 3. Click the Next button Note: You can choose Easy or Advanced calibration mode as required. 4. If you choose Advanced button: (Shown middle left) 5. Select the: Luminance, Gamma and White point levels of screen you wish to calibrate (use Recommended settings if appropriate) 6. Click the Next button 7. The Calibrate your EFI ES-1000 window opens (Shown middle right) 8. Follow the directions on screen EFI Educational Services Oct.-11 Create a Monitor Profile with CPS v3.1 9. You will then see the EFI ES-1000 Calibration was Successful screen (Shown above left) 10. Follow instructions on placing EFI ES-1000 onto LCD monitor measuring sling 11. Click the Next button 12. Place the EFI ES-1000 on the Monitor when the measurement module window appears (Shown above right) 13. Click the Next button 14. The Color Profiler Suite software will now display a series of color/grayscale patches to measure the display characteristics 15. The Save ICC Profile screen window opens (Shown middle left) 16. The option button: Compare before & After is available (Shown above middle) 17. The Apply Monitor Profile Image displays (Shown middle right) Note: 18. When Apply Monitor Profile button is chosen: the image displays a before & after comparison from the created ICC Profile.
