Personal URLs Overview A Time Saving EZLynx Feature The Personal URL feature allows agents to send an email link, which in turn allows a prospect to complete a new EZLynx application, or a customer to update their existing application information. The information is then saved directly in the agent’s EZLynx account for quick and easy quoting. This is convenient for the customer, and frees the agent’s time to sell more business. A win-win! Personal URLs are sent from an applicant’s EZContact icon and work in conjunction with the agency’s EZLynx Consumer Quoting portal, or a default Consumer Quoting portal. The portals determine the look of the pages a customer sees after clicking on the PURL link. An agency’s portal has their custom logos and branding, while a default portal displays the agency name, agent name and contact information with generic branding. A Personal URL allows: A prospect to complete a new application and return it to the agent. An existing client to view their EZLynx application, and confirm or update its information. Agencies with a Consumer Quoting portal can optionally enable live quoting. With live quoting, the prospect/customer gets a quote immediately after submitting the application. Getting started: How to send a Personal URL To send a Personal URL to a new prospect so they can complete a new application, first go to the Personal tab and click “Create New Applicant”. Enter at least the prospect’s name, state and email address to create their EZLynx account. Or, locate an existing customer, and send them a PURL to confirm or update their current application information. From an applicant’s EZLynx account, hover over the EZContact icon and “Send Email Link (PURL)”, then click the “Compose” button. The first section asks which Consumer Quoting portal to use. If the agency has an EZLynx Consumer Quoting portal, it is automatically used. Or, if the agency has more than one, select which portal to use from the dropdown box. If the agency does not have a Consumer Quoting portal, a default portal is automatically used. The next section is the email recipient’s information. The applicant’s name and email address are prefilled, and other email addresses can be added in the CC box. Now click the “Next” button. Any changes to the information in these fields is saved and used on all following PURLs until another change is made. Customize the email message, if desired. If the agency has a Consumer Quoting portal with live quoting enabled, use the “Turn off live quoting” checkbox to provide, or not provide, a live quote once the prospect/customer submits the application. Now click “Send Email”. The prospect/customer receives an email with a link to the agency’s custom Consumer Quoting portal or a default portal page (shown below) to verify their last name and zip code. Users should check for Alerts regularly throughout the day. Also, an Activity is automatically logged on the applicant’s Comments tab each time a Personal URL is sent, the link is clicked, and/or the application is submitted. Still have questions?
