HOW TO USE CONJUGUEMOS FOR VERB CONJUGATION PRACTICE 1. Go to www.conjuguemos.com 2. NOTE: It is not necessary to log in to use Conjuguemos, but if you should get an error message, you can click on Student Sign In and use the generic login for UTA students: USERNAME: utastudent PASSWORD: spanish 3. Click on “Spanish verbs” in the left-hand column. 4. Click on the verb tense you want to practice. (To find out all possible verbs in the verb bank for each exercise, click on VERB CHART to the right, which is a printable file.) Notice that many tenses are further subdivided into regular, spell-changing, stem-changing and irregular forms, or you can choose "ALL VERBS" in that tense. 5. Before starting, you can customize your practice this way: (scroll to bottom of web page for the view seen to the right.) Choose your verbs: Pre-select verbs from the list if you want to limit your practice to certain verbs. If you do not choose any, you will be given any of the verbs at random from the verb list. Choose your pronoun: Focus on certain conjugations if you want to, or choose "all but vosotros" if you will not be tested on that and do not wish to practice it. You will get all conjugations, including “vosotros” if you leave the default setting as is. Timing: You are now ready to begin. The default setting is timed for 5 minutes. When you scroll back up to the top, if you do not want to be timed, just click on the box to the right that says "Don't time me." Alternatively, you can be timed, but change the default 5-minute setting to something else. Click the green START button to begin. After keying in your answer, you can either click on CHECK or just hit "Enter" on your keyboard (this is faster!). If your response is correct, you will be given the next prompt. If your response is not correct, it will give you the correct answer which you must key in so that you can move on to the next prompt. OTHER BUTTONS: Click on VERB CHART for a printable list of all verbs used in this activity. Click on DEFINE to see the meaning of the verb. Click on CONJUGATE to see all conjugations for this verb. ACCENT MARKS ON VERBS: If a verb conjugation requires an accent mark, and you do not use it, it will say your answer is incorrect. This screen capture is taken from Regular Verbs in the Preterit. The "yo" form of a regular verb in the preterit requires an accent mark on the final letter. In this case: bailé To type the accent mark, click on ADD ACCENT immediately AFTER typing the letter that requires an accent. The accent mark will then appear on the letter you just typed.
