Wegmans’ Data Accuracy Initiative
Utilizing a third-party auditing team, we perform physical audits of our
suppliers’ products in our inventory to determine the accuracy of our
shared supply chain data (primarily item dimensions, case cube and
weight, Net Content and Case Pack).
Apply the GS1 Global Standards in both package measurement rules
and tolerances in score carding our strategic partners.
Provide reporting and education for our suppliers toward the goal of
improved processes and technology that contribute to data quality.
Data Accuracy is a strategic trading partner KPI, as well as an internal
metric.
