display connection capable of producing high
resolution images as well as high quality audio
signals. DisplayPort is typically used when
connecting a computer to a monitor. The
connector also features a latching mechanism
to prevent the plugs from being unintentionally

Enhanced Video Connector (EVC or P&D) Cable Assemblies
The Video Electronics Standards Association (VESA) established a standard for advanced high bandwidth / high resolution monitors. It's called EVC, which stands
for Enhanced Video Connector. Also known as P&D (Plug & Display), this standard was designed for higher bandwidth video transmission exceeding 2 GHz.
It also utilizes connections for multimedia devices via Universal Serial Bus (USB), IEEE-1394 and Display Data Channel (DDC) pins inherent in the connector.
