What is the Public Forum?
The Public Forum is the WTO's
largest annual outreach event.
It provides a forum for NGOs, civil
society, governments, academia
and the private sector to exchange
views on specific issues related to
international trade.
eBay’s work over the year shaped
the theme of this year's Public
Forum: trade in an era of
innovation and technology.
“The Public Forum is one of the
most important events on the
WTO’s calendar. … It is not only
about the world getting to know
the WTO. It is also about the WTO
getting to know the world.”
Director General, WTO, Roberto
Azevedo

An alternative model for small businesses to reach global markets –
four building blocks that can be tweaked to their needs:
(1) connectivity, affordable, reliable and without gatekeepers;
(2) innovative payment, marketplaces, etc services; (3) moving
products around the world efficiently; (4) legal rules and
procedures that work also for small businesses and consumers
