KUVE-CA, KFTU-TV, KFTU-CA, KUVE-TV, K48GX Annual EEO Public File Report The purpose of this EEO Public File Report (“Report”) is to comply with Section 73.2080(c)(6) of the FCC’s 2002 EEO Rule. Univision representatives answered student’s questions regarding their personal careers with Univision and various broadcasting careers; including News, promotions, photographers and engineering. Explained the digital conversion and what is needed to succeed in broadcasting. On February 10, 2011 News Reporter, Karla Escamilla and Marketing & Promotions Coordinator, Tatiana Bustamante were invited to participate in a Love of Reading/Career Day at Menolo Park Elementary School, Tucson AZ December 4, 2009, Karla Escamilla, News Reporter and Juan DeSoto, News Photographer, participated in a career day at Pierson Vocational High School in Nogales, AZ. Univision representatives discussed their careers in broadcasting as well as skills and education needed for opportunities in broadcasting. 11 On February 15, 2011, Tatiana Bustamante, Marketing & Promotions Coordinator participated at a Career Day hosted by Pueblo High School. Students had the opportunity to ask questions regarding careers and internships in the broadcast industry, specifically, opportunities with Univision. Participation in Job Banks: Arizona Broadcaster Association and National Association of Hispanic Journalists job banks of media trade groups with broad-based membership (including women and minorities) were utilized for all the job positions filled during the reporting period. Internship Program: A student from Pima Community College, Tucson, AZ participated in the KUVE/KFTU internship program in the 2010 fall semester (8/25/2010 – 1/7/2011). The student received training in the area of News Production and received internship credit from the Pima Community College. 12
