‫עלול לגרום לנזק לעובר ולכן אין להשתמש‬
‫בלמוטריג'ין בתקופת ההריון אלא אם כן הרופא‬

‫שינויים פיזיולוגיים בזמן הריון עלולים להשפיע‬

‫אם הינך סובל‪/‬ת או סבלת בעבר מליקוי בתפקוד‪:‬‬
‫הכבד‪ ,‬הכליה‪/‬מערכת השתן‪.‬‬
‫אם הינך סובל‪/‬ת או סבלת בעבר מליקוי בתפקוד‬
‫מערכת הדם (כגון קרישה וכו' ‪ -‬למוטריג'ין מתערב‬
‫במטבוליזם הפולאט)‪.‬‬
‫אם הינך סובל‪/‬ת מפרקינסון‪.‬‬
‫אם סבלת מפריחה במשך טיפול קודם בתרופה‬
‫זו או בתרופות אנטי‪-‬אפילפטיות אחרות‪.‬‬
‫אם הינך נוטלת גלולות למניעת הריון או‬
‫טיפול תרופתי בתחליפי הורמונים ‪HRT‬‬
‫(‪ )Hormone Replacement Therapy‬יש לדווח‬
‫לרופא‪.‬‬
‫איך תשפיע התרופה על חיי היום יום שלך?‬
‫השימוש בתרופה זו עלול לפגום בעירנות ולגרום‬
‫לטשטוש הראייה ועל כן מחייב זהירות בנהיגה‬
‫ברכב‪ ,‬בהפעלת מכונות מסוכנות ובכל פעילות‬
‫המחייבת עירנות‪.‬‬
‫באשר לילדים‪ ,‬יש להזהירם מרכיבה על אופניים‬
‫או ממשחקים בקרבת הכביש וכדומה‪.‬‬
‫אזהרות‪:‬‬
‫אם הינך רגיש‪/‬ה למזון כלשהו או לתרופה כלשהי‪,‬‬
‫עליך להודיע על כך לרופא לפני נטילת התרופה‪.‬‬
‫בתקופת הטיפול בתרופה זו יש לערוך בדיקות‬
‫דם ותפקודי כבד‪.‬‬
‫התרופה מכילה לקטוז ועלולה לגרום לאלרגיה‬
‫אצל אנשים הרגישים ללקטוז‪.‬‬
‫אם הרית בזמן הטיפול‪ ,‬יש לפנות לרופא‬
‫מיידית!‬
‫אם הינך נוטל‪/‬ת את התרופה לטיפול במצבי‬
‫רוח קיצוניים הינך עלול‪/‬ה להרגיש בהשפעה‬
‫המלאה של התרופה רק לאחר מספר שבועות‬

‫אם הינך נוטל‪/‬ת את התרופה לשימוש באפילפסיה‪,‬‬
‫ייתכן ותחווה‪/‬י לעיתים רחוקות התקפים רבים או‬
‫שונים מהרגיל‪ .‬במקרה כזה פנה‪/‬י לרופא מיד!‬
‫נטילת תרופות אנטי‪-‬אפילפטיות (נוגדות פרכוסים)‬
‫עלולה להגביר את הסיכון לפעולות או מחשבות‬
‫אובדניות‪ .‬עליך ועל בני משפחתך לשים לב לשינויים‬
‫במצב הרוח ובדפוסי ההתנהגות‪ .‬יש לעקוב אחרי‬
‫סימנים המעידים על סיכון להתאבדות‪ ,‬כגון‪ :‬דיבורים‬
‫או מחשבות על הרצון להזיק לעצמך‪ ,‬התכנסות‬
‫בתוך עצמך והתרחקות ממשפחה וחברים‪ ,‬דיכאון‬
‫או החמרה בדיכאון קיים‪ ,‬התעסקות בנושא המוות‪,‬‬
‫הפקרה או מסירה של נכסים יקרי ערך‪.‬‬
‫במקרה של הופעת אחד או יותר מסימנים‬
‫אלה או כל דפוס התנהגות מדאיג אחר ‪ -‬יש‬
‫לפנות לרופא מיד!‬
‫התכשיר עלול לגרום לדלקת קרום המוח‪ .‬תופעה‬
‫זו חמורה‪ .‬במידה והינך חש‪/‬ה כאב ראש‪ ,‬חום‪,‬‬
‫צמרמורת‪ ,‬בחילה‪ ,‬הקאה‪ ,‬קשיחות בצוואר‪,‬‬
‫פריחה‪ ,‬רגישות חריגה לאור‪ ,‬נמנום או בלבול‬
‫פנה‪/‬י לרופא מיד!‬
‫רוב הנשים צריכות מינון גבוה יותר של למוג'ין‬
‫בזמן השימוש בגלולות ועל כן הרופא עשוי להעלות‬
‫את המינון של למוג'ין‪ .‬בדרך כלל הרופא יוריד‬
‫את המינון לאחר הפסקת השימוש בגלולות‪ .‬אם‬
‫הינך משתמשת בגלולות והבחנת בשינויים במחזור‬
‫החודשי (כגון דימומים נוספים במהלך החודש)‬
‫יש לדווח לרופא בהקדם האפשרי‪.‬‬
‫יש לדווח לרופא אם הינך נוטל‪/‬ת ריספרידון‪,‬‬
‫תרופה לטיפול בתסמונת דו קוטבית‪ .‬הינך עלול‪/‬ה‬
‫לחוש עייפות או ישנוניות כאשר הינך נוטל‪/‬ת‬
‫ריספרידון בשילוב עם למוג'ין‪.‬‬
‫תגובות בין‪-‬תרופתיות‪:‬‬
‫אם הינך נוטל‪/‬ת תרופה נוספת‪ ,‬או אם גמרת זה‬
‫עתה טיפול בתרופה אחרת‪ ,‬עליך לדווח לרופא‬
‫המטפל כדי למנוע סיכונים או אי‪-‬יעילות הנובעים‬
‫מתגובות בין‪-‬תרופתיות‪ ,‬במיוחד לגבי תרופות‬
‫מהקבוצות הבאות‪ :‬תרופות המשפיעות על‬
‫מערכת העצבים המרכזית כגון‪ :‬תרופות להרגעה‪,‬‬
‫לשינה‪ ,‬לפרקינסון‪ ,‬לאפילפסיה (חומצה ולפרואית‪,‬‬

‫בנוסף לפעילות הרצויה של התרופה‪ ,‬בזמן השימוש‬
‫בה עלולות להופיע תופעות לוואי‪ ,‬כגון‪ :‬פריחה‪,‬‬
‫נמנום‪ ,‬כאב ראש‪ ,‬עייפות‪ ,‬סחרחורת‪ ,‬ראייה כפולה‪,‬‬
‫הפרעות במערכת העיכול‪ ,‬רוגז‪/‬תוקפנות‪ ,‬שלשול‪,‬‬
‫טשטוש ראייה‪ ,‬בחילה‪/‬הקאה‪ ,‬נדודי שינה‪ ,‬דלקת‬
‫בלחמית העין‪.‬‬
‫תופעות לוואי המחייבות התייחסות מיוחדת‪:‬‬
‫החמרה בהתקפים ו‪/‬או תגובות חריגות על פני‬
‫העור‪ ,‬התכווצויות‪ ,‬כאב בפה או בעיניים‪ ,‬התנפחות‬

‫גלגל העין ורעד (נדיר)‪ :‬פנה‪/‬י לרופא מיד! במידה‬
‫והינך חולה‪/‬ת פרקינסון‪ ,‬כל החמרה של תסמיני‬
‫המחלה כגון רעד של הזרועות והרגליים‪ ,‬גלגול‬

‫מיד! תנועות לא רגילות שאינך יכול‪/‬ה לשלוט‬
‫בהן כגון טלטול או רעד של הזרועות או הרגליים‪,‬‬

‫דלקת קרום המוח (מנינגיטיס) המתאפיינת בחום‪,‬‬

‫בכל מקרה שבו הינך מרגיש‪/‬ה תופעות לוואי‬
‫שלא צוינו בעלון זה‪ ,‬או אם חל שינוי בהרגשתך‬
‫הכללית‪ ,‬עליך להתייעץ עם הרופא מיד‪.‬‬
‫תופעות לוואי ותגובות בין‪-‬תרופתיות בילדים‬
‫ותינוקות‪:‬‬
‫על ההורים לדווח לרופא המטפל על כל תופעת‬
‫לוואי וכן על כל תרופה נוספת הניתנת לילד‪/‬ה!‬
‫ראה‪/‬י לעיל תופעות לוואי ותגובות בין‪-‬תרופתיות‬
‫מיוחדות שפורטו‪.‬‬
‫מינון מקובל‪:‬‬
‫המינון ייקבע באופן אינדיבידואלי על‪-‬ידי הרופא‬
‫המטפל בהתאם לחומרת המחלה‪ .‬מינון לפי‬
‫הוראות הרופא בלבד‪.‬‬
‫אין לעבור על המנה המומלצת‪.‬‬
‫מינון לילדים‪ :‬לפי הוראות הרופא בלבד‪.‬‬
‫תרופה זו אינה מיועדת בדרך כלל לילדים‬
‫ותינוקות מתחת לגיל שנתיים‪.‬‬
‫למוג'ין כטיפול יחיד באפילפסיה מותווה לילדים‬
‫מעל גיל ‪ 12‬בלבד‪.‬‬
‫למוג'ין כטיפול משולב באפילפסיה מותווה לילדים‬
‫מעל גיל שנתיים‪.‬‬
‫למוג'ין כטיפול בתסמונת דו‪-‬קוטבית אינו‬
‫מומלץ לטיפול בילדים מתחת לגיל ‪.18‬‬
‫יש להשתמש בתרופה זו בזמנים קצובים כפי‬
‫שנקבע על‪-‬ידי הרופא המטפל‪ .‬אם שכחת ליטול‬
‫תרופה זו בזמן קצוב‪ ,‬יש ליטול מנה מיד כשנזכרת‬
‫אלא אם מועד הנטילה של המנה הבאה הוא כעבור‬
‫פחות מ‪ 4 -‬שעות‪ .‬במקרה זה דלג‪/‬י על המנה‬
‫שנשכחה וקח‪/‬י את המנה הבאה בשעה היעודה‪,‬‬
‫אך בשום אופן אין ליטול שתי מנות ביחד!‬
‫אין להפסיק את הטיפול באופן פתאומי אלא‬
‫בהוראת רופא‪ .‬יש להתייעץ עם הרופא כאשר‬
‫מתחילים מחדש את הטיפול בתרופה אפילו אם‬
‫הפסקת את הטיפול למספר ימים בלבד‪.‬‬
‫אופן השימוש‪:‬‬
‫למוג'ין טבליות יש לבלוע עם מים‪.‬‬
‫בילדים ובמתקשים בבליעת טבליות‪ :‬ניתן לשים‬
‫את הטבליה בכף מים ולבלוע לאחר מספר דקות‪,‬‬
‫עם השלמת התפוררותה‪.‬‬
‫כיצד תוכל‪/‬י לסייע להצלחת הטיפול?‬
‫גם אם חל שיפור במצב בריאותך אין להפסיק הטיפול‬
‫בתרופה ללא התייעצות עם רופא‪ ,‬ובכל מקרה‬
‫הפסקת התרופה חייבת להיעשות בהדרגה‪.‬‬
‫מנע‪/‬י הרעלה! תרופה זו וכל תרופה אחרת‬
‫יש לשמור במקום סגור מחוץ להישג ידם של‬
‫ילדים ו‪/‬או תינוקות ועל‪-‬ידי כך תמנע‪/‬י הרעלה‪.‬‬
‫אם נטלת מנת יתר או אם בטעות בלע ילד מן‬
‫התרופה‪ ,‬פנה‪/‬י מיד לחדר מיון של בית‪-‬חולים‬
‫והבא‪/‬י אריזת התרופה איתך‪ .‬אין לגרום להקאה‬
‫ללא הוראה מפורשת מרופא! תרופה זו נרשמה‬
‫לטיפול במחלתך‪ ,‬בחולה אחר‪/‬ת היא עלולה‬
‫להזיק‪ .‬אל תיתן‪/‬י תרופה זו לקרוביך‪ ,‬שכניך‬

Tablets
The dispensing of this medicine requires a doctor's
prescription
Read this package insert carefully in its entirety
before using this medicine
Composition: Each tablet contains:
Lamotrigine 5 mg, 25 mg, 50 mg, 100 mg or
200 mg.
Contains: 30 mg, 20 mg, 40 mg, 80 mg or 160 mg
lactose, respectively.
Inactive ingredients:
Lactose (anhydrous), microcrystalline cellulose,
sodium starch glycollate, colloidal silicon dioxide,
magnesium stearate.
Therapeutic group:
Antiepileptic (anticonvulsant).
Therapeutic activity:
Adults and children above the age of 12 years:
As a monotherapy of Lamogine in epilepsy, partial
seizures and generalized tonic-clonic seizures.
Adults and children above the age of 2 years:
As add-on therapy in epilepsy, partial seizures, and
generalized tonic-clonic seizures, not controlled
with other drugs.
Adults above the age of 18 years:
For prevention of mood disturbances, particularly
depressive states in patients with bipolar disorder.
When should the preparation not be used?
Do not use this medicine if you are sensitive to
any of its ingredients.
If you suffer from impaired renal or hepatic
function.
treatment with another medicine, inform the
attending doctor, in order to prevent hazards or
lack of efficacy arising from drug interactions. This
is especially important for medicines belonging
to the following groups: medicines affecting the
central nervous system, e.g., sedatives, hypnotics,
medicines for parkinsonism, for epilepsy (valproic
acid, phenytoin, carbamazepine, phenobarbitone
and primidone), medicines for treatment of HIV
(lopinavir in combination with ritonavir or atazanavir
in combination with ritonavir), rifampicin for
treatment of infections including tuberculosis, folic
acid, contraceptive pills. Inform your doctor of any
change in your menstrual cycle.
Side effects: In addition to the desired effect of the
medicine, adverse reactions may occur during the
course of taking this medicine, for example: rash,
drowsiness, headache, tiredness, dizziness, double
vision, gastrointestinal disturbances, irritability/
aggression, diarrhea, blurred vision, nausea/
vomiting, insomnia, conjunctivitis.
Side effects that require special attention:
Worsening of seizures and/or unusual reactions
on the skin, convulsions, pain in the mouth or
eyes, swollen glands (rare): refer to the doctor
immediately! Hypersensitivity manifested by fever,
facial edema and rash (rare): refer to the doctor
immediately! Dizziness, anxiety, hallucinations,
confusion, movement disorders such as: tics,
unsteadiness, lack of coordination when walking,
no control of muscles, oscillation of the eyeball and
tremor (rare): refer to the doctor immediately! If you
have Parkinson’s disease, any worsening of the
disease symptoms such as shaking of the arms
and legs, rolling of the eyes or chewing motions
with the mouth: refer to the doctor immediately!
Unusual motions that you cannot control such
as jerking or shaking of the arms or legs, or rapid
eye movements: refer to the doctor immediately!
Meningitis characterized by fever, nausea, vomiting,
headache, stiff neck and extreme sensitivity to bright
light: refer to the doctor immediately! Unexpected
bruising or bleeding, appearance of infections more
than usual (colds, for example) or sore throat: refer
to the doctor immediately! Yellowing of the skin,
tingling, abdominal pain/tenderness: refer to the
doctor immediately! Back or joint pain: refer to the
doctor.
In the event that you experience side effects not
mentioned in this leaflet, or if there is a change
in your general health, consult your doctor
immediately.
Adverse reactions and drug interactions in
children and infants: Parents must inform the
attending doctor about any side effects, as well as
any additional medicine being taken by the child!
See above for details of special side effects and
drug interactions.
Recommended dosage: The dosage is to be
determined individually by the attending doctor in
accordance with the severity of the disease.
Dosage is according to doctor’s instructions only.
Do not exceed the recommended dosage.
Dosage for children: According to doctor’s
instructions only. This medicine is not usually
intended for administration to children and infants
under 2 years of age.
Lamogine is indicated as a monotherapy for treating
epilepsy in children over 12 years of age only.
Lamogine is indicated as an add-on therapy for
treating epilepsy in children over 2 years of age.
Lamogine as a treatment for bipolar disorder is
not recommended for children under 18 years
of age.
This medicine is to be taken at specific time
intervals as determined by the attending doctor.
If you forgot to take this medicine at the specified
time, take the dose as soon as you remember,
unless the next dosing time is less than 4 hours
away. In this case skip the missed dose and take
the next dose at the scheduled time, but never take
two doses together!
Do not stop treatment abruptly unless instructed
to do so by a doctor. Consult the doctor when
resuming treatment with the medicine, even if you
stopped treatment for a few days only.
Directions for use: Lamogine tablets should be
swallowed with water.
For children and those who have difficulty
swallowing tablets: the tablet can be placed in
a spoonful of water and swallowed after a few
minutes, when dispersion is complete.
How can you contribute to the success of the
treatment?
Even if there is an improvement in your health,
do not discontinue use of this medicine without
consulting your doctor. In any case, stopping the
medicine should be done gradually.
Avoid Poisoning! This medicine, and all other
medicines, must be stored in a safe place out of the
reach of children and/or infants, to avoid poisoning.
If you have taken an overdose, or if a child has
accidentally swallowed the medicine, proceed
immediately to a hospital emergency room and
bring the package of the medicine with you.
Do not induce vomiting unless explicitly instructed to
do so by a doctor! This medicine has been prescribed
for the treatment of your ailment; in another patient
it may cause harm. Do not give this medicine to
your relatives, neighbors or acquaintances.
Do not take medicines in the dark! Check the label
and the dose each time you take your medicine.
Wear glasses if you need them.
Storage: In a dry place, below 30oC.
Even if kept in their original container and stored as
recommended, medicines may be kept for a limited
period only. Please note the expiry date of the
medicine! In case of doubt, consult the pharmacist
who dispensed the medicine to you.
Do not store different medications in the same
package.

Do not take this medicine without consulting
a doctor before starting treatment:
If you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant
- information regarding the use of lamotrigine during
pregnancy is not complete. The preparation may
cause harm to the fetus; therefore, you should not
take lamotrigine during pregnancy unless the doctor
has weighed the advantages against the risk to the
development of the fetus.
Physiological changes during pregnancy may affect
lamotrigine levels.
If you became pregnant while under treatment
with this medicine or were exposed to this
medicine during pregnancy, especially during
the first trimester, consult one of the teratologic
counseling centers to evaluate the risk of damage
to the fetus.
If you are breastfeeding or planning to breastfeed.
Lamogine passes into the breast milk. Your doctor
will discuss with you the benefits and risks of
breastfeeding while taking Lamogine.
If you are taking other medicines for epilepsy or
bipolar disorder.
If you are taking other medicines containing
lamotrigine.
If you are suffering, or have suffered in the past,
from impaired function of: the liver, the kidney/
urinary tract.
If you are suffering, or have suffered in the past,
from impaired function of the blood system (e.g.,
coagulation, etc. - lamotrigine interferes with folate
metabolism).
If you are suffering from Parkinson’s disease.
If you suffered from a rash during previous
treatment with this medicine or other antiepileptic
medicines.
Inform your doctor if you are taking oral contraceptives
or hormone replacement therapy (HRT).
How will this medicine affect your daily life?
Use of this medicine may impair alertness and
cause blurring of vision and therefore caution
should be exercised when driving a car, operating
dangerous machinery and in any activity which
requires alertness.
Children should be cautioned against bicycle
riding, playing near roads and the like.
Warnings: If you are sensitive to any type of food or
medicine, inform your doctor before commencing
treatment with this medicine.
During treatment with this medicine, blood and liver
function tests should be performed.
The medicine contains lactose and may cause an
allergic reaction in patients sensitive to lactose.
If you become pregnant while under treatment, refer
to your doctor immediately!
If you are taking the medicine for treatment of
extreme moods, you may feel the full effect of the
medicine only after a few weeks of treatment.
If you are taking the medicine for use in epilepsy, you
may, infrequently, experience multiple or different
from usual seizure attacks. In such a case, refer to
the doctor immediately!
Taking antiepileptics (anticonvulsants) may increase
the risk of suicidal thoughts or actions. You and
your family members should pay close attention
to any changes in mood and behavior patterns.
Watch for signs that indicate a risk of suicide,
such as: talking or thinking about wanting to hurt
yourself, introversion and withdrawing from family
and friends, becoming depressed or worsening
of existing depression, preoccupation with the
subject of death, abandoning or giving away prized
possessions.
If any of these signs or any other worrisome
behavior pattern occurs - refer to your doctor
immediately!
The preparation might cause meningitis. This effect
is serious. If you experience headache, fever, chills,
nausea, vomiting, stiff neck, rash, unusual sensitivity
to light, drowsiness or confusion, refer to the doctor
immediately!
Most women require a higher dose of Lamogine
when using oral contraceptives. The doctor may
therefore raise your Lamogine dosage. Generally,
the doctor will lower the dosage after use of oral
contraceptives has been stopped. If you are using
oral contraceptives and have noticed changes
in your menstrual cycle (such as breakthrough
bleeding in the course of the month), refer to your
doctor as soon as possible.
You should inform the doctor if you are taking
risperidone, a medicine for treatment of bipolar
disorder. You may feel tired or sleepy when taking
risperidone in combination with Lamogine.
Drug interactions: If you are taking another
drug concomitantly or if you have just finished
