Unlike a tire paint pen or tire marker, with proper application, our tire lettering kits are PERMANENT lasting the LIFE of the tire. Don’t let your tires go ‘round naked! Dress them with TredWear Graphics and Lettering Kits. Scrub tires with a degreaser and brush, then give them a good rinse. Tires may need to be cleaned several times as tire product buildup will interfere with adhesion. Make sure your tires are thoroughly dry before beginning application. It’s also a good idea to clean the adhering surface of the letters. Remove rubber nubs on tire with a razor blade. APP LY G LUE : Sort letters before you begin. It’s much easier to hold and place the letters without gluing your fingers together if you stick them face down on a piece of packing tape first. Working with one letter at a time, apply a thin layer of glue on back of letter using the tip of the bottle to evenly distribute glue. APP LY L ET T ER : Carefully position letter but keep in mind the glue bonds very quickly. Rub outwards to remove any air bubbles and allow to set at least a minute before peeling away the blue protective coating. Allow to cure 1 hour. CH EC K: It’s a good idea to double check that your letters have received an even coat of glue by sliding a fingernail around letter edges after they have dried. If you missed any spots you can remedy it with an extra dab of glue.
