Artist Statement
I am profoundly moved by the process of making dances. The wonder of working with dancers who take an idea, a
movement or a gesture, and fill it with meaning holds a special magic for me. The journey towards a completed work
is a perfect synthesis of my heartfelt ideas and the sympathetic imagination of my dancers.
My dances are formed as a dialogue with the music. To me there's always another dancer in the piece and that is the
music. The relationship is active, either through counterpoint or in unison. The music is always melded into the
movement. To me a work is perfect when there is nothing wasted, nothing extra. - Ruth Cansfield Flux

FINE FREE.
GUARANTEED.
Reliability of the alarm system is an important
consideration when purchasing. False alarms cost
you time and money when you or your staff have to
respond in the middle of the night.
Recent changes to the City of Winnipeg Alarm ByLaw raise the costs of false alarms. You are now
allowed only one free false police dispatched
alarm in a 12 month period. If the police
attend a second false alarm from your premises
within the 12 month period, a fine will be issued
for not less than $75.00 plus 20% court costs.
That is why we provide False Alarm
Protection that will guarantee that you will
never have to pay a false alarm fine. For
only $5.00 per month, we can provide you
with "False Alarm Protection."
ProTELEC knows you cannot afford to have false
alarms, and that is why we have been installing
quality alarm systems in businesses, homes and
cottages for over 30 years.
We also know that accidents happen, and if you
are like the average alarm owner, you or a
member of your staff will make a mistake
sometime within a year resulting in false alarms
and possible fines.

If after the first false alarm you have another
burglar alarm within 12 months, we will dispatch

Service responses and you will never pay a

times, we feel our Guard Service response time
will be as good, if not better.

Community Pharmacy
What do Pharmacists Do?
Hospital Pharmacy
If you are considering a career in pharmacy, the
answer to this first question is very important!
Many of you believe that in general, pharmacists
spend their days behind a counter in a pharmacy,
counting tablets and capsules and giving advice to
their customers. You may be surprised to learn that
today and over the past few years, the practice of
pharmacy has shifted its focus dramatically to
activities which have everything to do with the
patient. Today’s pharmacists strive to work with
their patients to determine what the patient’s
needs are and what care should be provided in
order to best meet these needs. This is called
“pharmaceutical care”, and it is all about
identifying, resolving and preventing medicationrelated problems.
Pharmaceutical Industry
Government Services
Education and Research
Pharmacists apply their
education and knowledge in
many, many different ways – the
list is limited only by your
imagination! Pharmacists may
become specialized lawyers,
journalists or consultants or
they may work in the military to
name a few. As well,
pharmacists may pursue clinical
specialty practices such as
infectious diseases, pediatrics,
psychiatry, intensive care,
cardiology.
What kind of person
does it take to practise
pharmaceutical care?
The pharmacist must be willing
and able to establish a
relationship with patients based
on mutual respect and trust.
He or she must be able
cooperate effectively as a
member of a health care team
and be capable of life-long
learning to keep pace with the
rapid change of knowledge.
The pharmacist must be an
inquisitive and discriminating
problem-solver to identify and
solve drug-related problems.
In other words, pharmacists serve society as
professionals who are responsible for the optimal
use of drugs. This means that the pharmacist’s
primary responsibility is to individual patients. The
ultimate goal of pharmaceutical care is to improve
an individual patient’s quality of life. This is
achieved by working with the patient to determine
if any drug-related needs exist which are
preventing the patient from attaining their desired
quality of life and then meeting those needs.
