The estimated duration of the transfer will be 2 hours. In the middle of the way we will make a stop at Riofrio (72 km from Malaga). Here we will have a coffee/tea at a restaurant named Paco Rama (ts specialities are sturgeon and caviar from the fish farm close by) Option to visit the fish farm. The expected time of arrival at Hotel Fontecruz is 13.00 pm What we think: Perferct stop on the way and a great chance to buy local caviar. DAY BY DAY PROGRAMME LUNCH: RESTAURANT CHIKITO After check-in at hotel in centre the group will go for lunch to restaurant Chikito around 13.30 – 13.45 pm Situated on a privilege location, right in the heart of the city and inside the commercial area with easy and quick access to “The Cathedral”, “Plaza Isabel La Católica” and “Convention Centre” so as other urban points of interest. Chikito cuisine is lead by chef Antonio Torres, who makes this restaurant one of the most appreciated in Granada. He is inspired mainly by andalusian regional cuisine with very suggestive “granadian” dishes as well as some others with arabicandalusian influences. Around 15.00 pm lunch will finish and the group will have free time to relax or enjoy the city! What we think: Typical traditional restaurant, speciality of the house: bull tail stew. DAY BY DAY PROGRAMME DINNER: RESTAURANT ARRIAGA After the group has enjoyed the free time, a welcome cocktail will take place around 19.00 pm at the spectacular terrace of the hotel between the group and the dutch community of Granada. At 20.15 pm the group will reunite at the lobby and will take taxis to the restaurant Arriaga. Since 2nd November of 2010, under the direction of Álvaro Arriaga, the restaurant tries to offer either a gastronomy so as a different service. Restaurant has a warm and welcoming ambiance, with OUTSTANDING views to Sierra Nevada, Alhambra and Sierra Elvira. Therefore and on a height of 60 metres, the guest can enjoy of a gastronomy based on product quality, with innovative recipes. YOU DREAM… WE DELIVER DAY BY DAY PROGRAMME MORNING: ALHAMBRA AND GENERALIFE TOUR Group will be picked up at hotel and transferred to the Alhambra. The expected time of visit is between 9.00 am to 13.00 pm, depending on the availability. During their visit the will have a dutch guide. Alhambra situated on a rocky hill that is difficult to access, on the banks of the River Darro, protected by mountains, among the oldest quarters in the city, the Alhambra rises up like an imposing castle with reddish tones in its ramparts that prevent the outside world from seeing the delicate beauty they enclose. Originally designed as a military area, the Alhambra became the residence of royalty and of the court of Granada in the middle of the thirteenth century. After the visit a bus will take the group to Albayzin to have a lunch in a “Carmen”. What we think: This visit is a must. DAY BY DAY PROGRAMME CARMEN DE MORAYMA Restaurant is located In the Albayzín, the ancient Moorish quarter of Granada and a UNESCO’s World Heritage Site. Mirador de Morayma displays an expertly cooked variety of local cuisine, as well as a wide range of wines, including the ecological wine produced in Alquería de Morayma, its country holidays estate in the region of Alpujarras . The restaurant terraced gardens provide a variety of atmospheres, and several small dining halls welcome the privacy of the guests. Legend tells that this was the residence of Princess Morayma during the captivity of her husband Boabdil, the last King of Granada Depending on Alhambra visit, the expected time for lunch is from 13.30 to 14.30 pm. If the weather is nice they will eat at the terrace, if not they will eat indoors probably at Encrucijada room. What we think: Excelent view to the Alhambra, option to eat at the terrace. DAY BY DAY PROGRAMME AFTERNOON: TREASURE HUNT After lunch the group will start their treasure hunt activity in the Albayzin, the moorish quarter of Granada. The group will be divided in 4 groups of 5 persons each and they will discover this labyrinth of streets with different tests of questions and pictures. The estimate duration of the activity is 2 hours. Around 17.30 pm the different groups will reunite at Ali Baba Cave in Acera del Darro to have a tea & sweet. After this activity the group can enjoy a few hours through the city centre or either go back to the hotel which is very close. What we think: Entertaining method to get to know the city and its culture. DAY BY DAY PROGRAMME DINNER: TAPAS TOUR Group will meet around 20.30 pm at the hotel lobby to go for Tapas. Their first stop will be Restaurant Sevilla, located next to the cathedral and the oldest restaurant of the city…since 1929. Here they will taste a special burrito and a black pudding croquete Second stop will be Bodega Castañeda, very traditional and crowded bar located very close. Third stop will be Gran Taberna, here the group will have the option to sit down at the top floor. The estimation is to have 2 drinks per bar. What we think: Tapas in Granada are widely known, this route is a must. DAY BY DAY PROGRAMME MORNING-AFTERNOON: 4X4 ACTIVITY Saturday morning the group will departure to Guadix around 8.30 am which is 1 hour and 30 minutes drive max. They will check-in at Tio Tobas Caves and have a coffee upon arrival to get energy for the activity of the day! The activity will start around 10.30 am and the cars will be driven by the clients with GPS, walkie talkies and will have team building activities during the raid, the estimate duration of the activity is 4-5 hours, flexible to adapt to participants wishes. They will route over the most spectacular desert of Europe, changing from the desert to the mountain heights in 15 minutes. Landscapes you will never forget visiting Gorafe’s Megalithic Park. The itinerary goes through the most important villages in the troglodyte culture, where over 3000 families live in caves. They will have a light lunch around 14.30 next to the castle and continue a little bit with the activity driven towards the hotel caves. Afterwards the group will have 2 hours free. What we think: Adrenaline and fun activity to get to know the area. DAY BY DAY PROGRAMME DINNER: CORTIJO ALMAZARA DE PAULENCA After the free time the group will reunite around 20.30 pm to take the bus to Cortijo Almazara de Paulenca for dinner. La Almazara de Paulenca is an old olive mill from XVIII Century, a work of art (of rural mudejar) converted in a museum and a restaurant. After dinner, the bus will take them back to the hotel caves. What we think: Cozy and rural option for dinner. YOU DREAM… WE DELIVER DAY BY DAY PROGRAMME MORNING: TRIP TO WINERY Sunday morning participants will check-out from hotel Tio Tobas around 11.00 am and will have at their disposal this option of transport: 7 Quads and 7 buggies to travel in group through countryside, arriving at a specific time at the winery. The group will change vehicles when wished. The distance between caves and winery is 27 km, and participants will have a range of two hours to transfer. DAY BY DAY PROGRAMME MORNING-LUNCH: WINERY MUÑANA Participants are expected to arrive at winery around 13.00 pm, commence the visit to the vineyards followed by wine tasting and lunch. The expected time to leave the winery is 16.00 pm in order to arrive to Málaga around 19.00 pm. Bodega Muñana is located in Finca Peñas Prietas in the region of Cortes y Graena, 48 km away from city centre. In the finca we could see the whole process of elaboration of Muñana wines from the beginning with the vineyard cultivation, through the process of elaboration to the final bottling and labelling. The winery is formed by a gallery of caves under 30 metres on the ground which have a system of floor heating. It will consist on a visit and explanation to the vineyards, visit inside the winery to see the whole process of elaboration, a wine tasting and lastly, a typical lunch of the region.
