The Albaicín, declared a World Heritage Site, together with the Alhambra and
the Generalife, is the old Moorish casbah or medina – is a fascinating labyrinth of
narrow streets and whitewashed houses with secluded inner gardens, situated on
the hill facing the Alhambra, commanding magnificent views of the Moorish
palace.
It has an unmistakable Arab flavour and its cuisine, crafts and urban layout are a
consequence of the city's glorious history and unforgettable charm.
Because of its great communications, its marvelous climate, its beaches, and its
snowy mountains and ski resort, Granada is a unique destination for cultural,
adventure and business travel.
