Committee Meetings

All conference participants are encouraged to attend the
Committee meeting of their choice. COSCDA committee meetings
play an integral part in shaping the organizational policy.
Each Committee will be briefed on legislative and policy issues
impacting their program, appropriations and other related issues,
and will discuss COSCDA’s policy direction for the coming year.

HUD will conduct a CDBG Listening Session to provide
COSCDA members the opportunity to comment on CDBG
program effectiveness and technical assistance needs. HUD
wants to hear our comments regarding the program’s structure,
regulations, program delivery and HUD’s provision of
technical assistance.

Regional Caucus Breakfast
COSCDA members from the four regions will meet to discuss key
organizational issues and initiatives and share information on
activities within their region. COSCDA members will also elect
regional representatives to the COSCDA Board of Directors. (The
COSCDA Representative from each state must be in attendance at
the meeting to cast their vote.)
8:30 a.m. – 9:30 a.m.
Member Services Committee Meeting
This meeting is for you! The Member Services Committee will
discuss issues of importance to COSCDA member organizations.
Here is your opportunity to tell COSCDA how to best address your
professional development, organizational and information needs.
All conference attendees are strongly encouraged to attend. Also,
hear from the Training and Professional Development Committee
chairperson who will give a report during this session.
Additionally, COSCDA award winners receiving the Sterling
Achievement Award and President’s Award for Innovation will
highlight their program or project. (The COSCDA Representative
from each state must be in attendance to cast their vote.)
9:30 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.
Membership Forum and Business Meeting
The Membership Forum and Business Meeting will provide an
opportunity for members to discuss organizational issues and
provide input to the COSCDA Board of Directors. Officers and
Board members will be elected. COSCDA Board President will
lead a discussion with members and receive an update on the 2014
and 2015 Annual Conferences. The COSCDA representative
from each state must be in attendance to cast their vote.
