Soft Suicide Prevention Door SSPD The Soft Suicide Prevention Door was developed by patient safety professionals at the Department of Veterans Affairs and is now offered for sale by Kennon Products. It is custom made to fit any door frame up to 42” wide. Double, saloon-style panels are available for wider installations. Door hinges consist of magnets, which are encased in a rip-stop material hinge. Hinges attach directly to a typical hollow, metal door frame or to stainless steel hinge plates.
