Want to experience Vättern from its best side?
As one of Europe’s largest and deepest lakes Vättern can show up many
beautiful and interesting faces. The name is Old Norse and means simply
water. The stories are a lot of trolls, tales and life stories relating to the history of Sweden. Fish life is rich, real delicacies, as we prepare and offer onboard. At the south end of the lake is Jönköping whose port is the starting
point for our cruises.

The ship was built in 1915. During the renovation, we have been careful to retain its old world
charm with all that implies of furniture in oak and hand woven upholstery fabrics. Join a cruise
and experience a fantastic journey where you are transported in time and space. Or why not
arrange a party or conference in this unique environment? We have room for 148 seated guests
and is serving up everything from the smorgasbord of delights from the lake. Feel comfortable

Quiz provides both competitive spirit and dedication. Wednesdays throughout the summer at M/S
Nya Skärgården sees a difficult battle for most of the summer quiz. The topic can be anything from
music, current events, and we promise many laughs and unexpected discovery of the guests. Compete per table or for yourself, and it is one of Sweden’s most experienced bar pianist, Mia Isaksson,
who holds both the quiz and entertain with beautiful songs during the cruise.

OWN PARTY AT SEA!
Decide for yourself departure and arrival time. In addition to the
ordinary timetable is possible to charter the ship. We offer special
charter menu in the restaurant on board and will be happy to quote
and proposal on arrangements incl. cruise, food, drinks, with or without music.
Price: SEK 17 000 for three hours and SEK 4000 per additional
hour (food and drink not included).

Onboard restaurant
There is a restaurant on board the M/S Nya Skärgården. Everything
served onboard is prepared from raw materials in the ship’s galley.
Depending on the cruise (day, evening or charter), there is both à
la carte and different menus during the summer. For certain cruises
there is a buffet with varied themes.
Packed food
Because full catering is provided on the ship, guests are not permitted to bring their own food for consumption onboard.
Payment
Payments can be made onboard by cash or with credit/debit card.
We accept Visa, Eurocard, MasterCard and American Express.
Cancellation
Cancellation more than 30 days in advance is free of charge. For
groups, the number of persons can be changed up to four hours
prior to departure. Otherwise the charge will be for the number
prebooked.
Weather, wind and water
The cruise schedule can be affected by weather, wind and water.
When we cannot guarantee the enjoyment of all guests onboard,
the ship stay in port. Other arrangements are provided as planned.
No reduction in cost can be made on these occasions.
