Nagios Reactor – Manual Installation Instructions The Industry Standard in IT Infrastructure Monitoring Purpose This document describes how to manually install Nagios Reactor from source on a clean system. These directions assume that you are using a current version of a RHEL compatible system. Nagios Reactor is supported only on RHEL and CentOS Linux servers. Target Audience This document is written for administrators who are looking to perform a new installation of Nagios Reactor from source, rather than using a pre-configured virtual machine image. Shell Access These instructions require you to have shell access to the server you plan to install Nagios Reactor on. You will need to login to your server as the root user to perform an installation. Install Nagios Reactor Next, install Nagios Reactor from source by issuing the following commands at the shell prompt: cd /tmp wget http://assets.nagios.com/downloads/nagios-reactor/reactor-latest.tar.gz tar xzf reactor-latest.tar.gz cd nagiosreactor ./fullinstall Finishing Up Nagios Reactor will now be installed on your system.
