Our mission is to increase the deterrence of committing severe traffic offenses (such as crossing an intersection when there is a red light) therefore reducing the number of car accidents. We are motivated by our own will to make a change on the roads we all share as drivers. We have succeeded to recruit leading programming & software companies, an information security specialist and a professor who specializes in the study of car accidents; both from the Technion, as well as lawyers from leading firms who specialize in relevant legal fields. We established a nonprofit NGO two years ago called Safe Lane and our entire staff work as volunteers. Our achievements so far: 1. 2. 3. 4. We have the support of all the relevant government organizations – The Police, The Department of Justice and the National Road Safety Authority Running a pilot with 30 volunteers using our app The Police have recommended indictments of drivers that have committed severe traffic offenses documented by our volunteers Establishing a "Public Council", consisting of high ranking retired Police officers and legal experts We intend to continue to work on a voluntary basis as part of the organization we set up, but we need to raise funds for the next stages of the project.
