GM
G.Ms ("Gentils Membres") are
clients of Club Med.
They can be any age, single,
married, or part of a family.
They come from all over the
world in search of a little
happiness in our magic villages
where the G.O is at their
service without ever being
their servant.
We also find here the unique
side of being a G.O.
Irrespective of whether the
G.Ms are repeat clients to Club
Med or are there for just the
first time, all deserve the G.O's
attention.
VILLAGE
A "village" (or resort) is a
unique place, set in beautiful
suroundings, where the G.Ms
have the freedom to do
anything or nothing.
Besides lodging and dining, a
village represents a centre for
diverse attractions: events,
sports, Mini Club, etc. The
services offered may differ
from village to village, but the
G.O's interpersonal skills and
know-how are the same
everywhere.
It is a place with a
multicultural and international
flavour, with G.Os and G.Ms
from the world over. Generally,
the villages have between 600
and 1,000 beds and are open
from 4 to 6 months a year.

GO
The job of G.O ("Gentil
Organisateur") is a Club Med
invention. It is unique.
The G.O is the ambassador of
the Club Med Spirit and holder
of the company's five values. It
is a combination of their
working professionalism and
their way of being.
They have a sense of service
and pay special attention to
their guests. Enthusiastic and
smiling, they have a passion
for life and know how to
communicate it to others.
Curious about others, they
know how to build links and
have the ability to adapt to the
different personalities and
cultures that they encounter.
The G.Os are open to the
world around them and
respect the diversity of all
individuals. Their manners and
refinement allow them to
accompany the upscale move
of Club Med and the evolution
of clientele.
The G.Es ("Gentils Employés")
are service personnel and are
Club Med employees that are
for the most part native to the
country where the village is
situated.
They have a sedentary job and
a different status to the G.Os.
The positions most frequently
occupied by the G.Es are:
restaurant employees, cooks,
room service, housekeepers,
maintenance, gardeners, etc.
the G.Os and G.Es form one
and the same team, and work
for the same objective, that of
satisfying the G.Ms.
They have different but
complementary jobs.
CHEF DE
VILLAGE
The "Chef de Village" (Village
Chief) is the head of the
village, a unique kind of
director.
Their role is to ensure, along
with their team, that the G.Ms
who have come on vacation
find friendliness, generosity,
refinement, atmosphere and
safety.
So many values and elements
of which they are the
guarantor and that make our
difference.

SKI PACKAGE
SKI & CLOTHING RENTAL*
Ski equipment rental includes: ski, poles, boots,
snowboards:
SKI & SNOWBOARD LESSONS

Ski lessons are mostly composed of groups
from 8 to 12 people.

Lessons usually starts around 9am and a second
one around 2pm
•
The 3 y.o. service “learn how to ski” * package is
only offered to these Resorts: Villars, Valmorel,
La Plagne 2100, Serre-Chevalier.

If a property doesn’t have Mini Club there will be no
ski or snowboard lessons included for children under
12yrs. Ski lessons can be arranged from partners
outside the resort at extra cost.

Snowboard minimum age is 8 yrs but depending
on school holidays and/or seasonality.

Ski equipment rental: SUNDAY to SATURDAY package in
NA – Normal week stay with normal arrival check-in /
check-out times
Arrival at the Resort in the afternoon on arrival day
(Sunday afternoon mostly)
Equipment available for GMs with the Ski service centre
to pick up in the late Sunday afternoon / evening on
arrival day so GM is ready to ski the next morning
(Monday) when the ski pass is available.
Ski equipment rental: SUNDAY to SUNDAY package in
NA – For GMs wanting to ski on departure day
(morning or afternoon) with late departure from
Resort
Therefore, ski equipment is for 6 “ski day” rental
(MON / TUE / WED / THU / FRI / SAT) inclusive.
GM gives the equipment back to Club Med Ski Centre on
Saturday afternoon / evening before departure from
Resort on Sunday.
Early arrival on Sundays: if GMs arrive earlier (before
lunch) on arrival day (Sunday), they will have to pay extra
for lunch (as per early arrival policy) and if the GMs wish
to ski on that arrival day, ski equipment rental is available
to them on that day (no extra charge) as well. However, 1
extra ski pass day for the Sunday will be charged locally
as the ski pass normally starts only the following day
(Monday to Saturday).
Arrival at the Resort in the afternoon on arrival day
(Sunday afternoon mostly)
Equipment available for GMs with the Ski service centre
to pick up in the late Sunday afternoon / evening on
arrival day so GM is ready to ski the next morning
(Monday) when the ski pass is available.
Therefore, ski equipment is for 7 “ski day” rental (MON
/ TUE / WED / THU / FRI / SAT + SUN) inclusive.
If a GM book this package, this means the GM is
planning to ski on the scheduled departure day (Sunday)
and will need to pay 1 extra ski day pass locally.
GM gives the equipment back to Club Med Ski Centre on
Sunday afternoon before departure from Resort on
Sunday afternoon.

Public transport in Avoriaz is very good and definitely of a more novel variety than your average ski
resort! As a car free resort, the only traffic you will see are horse drawn sleighs and shuttles. This
means that you are not able to drive to your accommodation or around town but Club Med is ski-in/skiout and the resort amenities are right on your doorstep. Even better, the transport options at your
disposal are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
You will also see a fleet of shuttles zipping around the resort which look a little like minibuses on
caterpillar tracks. They operate 7 days a week from 7pm to 8am and during the winter cost €8 per
family.

Book your train transfers with Club Med in Europe and we’ll take care of everything for
your clients, from the train station to your Resort.
• Greetings: our G.Os will be waiting for you in Gare de Lyon in Paris and they have
everything planned to make sure you catch your train.
• Help with luggage: need an extra pair of hands? We’re here to help you and make your
transfer as easy and smooth as possible.
• Meals on board: meals are included in the train package in the price of your transfer.
Depending on the moment of the day you will be able to have breakfast, brunch, lunch
or a snack.
• 1st class and 2nd class: the trains leading to our various Resorts all offer 1st class cars if
you choose.
• For all train packages departing Paris (usually early on Sunday mornings), we recommend
to plan an overnight in Paris to make sure you do not miss you train.
