7. ELECTRIC CONNECTION
Door lock is working only when the door is
closed or the lock mechanism is armed.
The 24 VDC tension arrives from the ED9
board (2952CIRAPED9) which is installed
near the power board.
The ED9 board i san electrronic
transformer and it is always supplied with
a220V tension on the terminal 3 and 4 of
its connector.
When the opening door key is activated,
the power board closes the relay and a
220V signal come out form the terminal 1
of the connector CN1. The signal is
brought to one of the coil blue cable and
go to the terminal nr. 2 of the ED9 board.
ED9 board and door lock are connected in
line.

Door close: contact closed.
The test can be easily made using a
normal ohmmeter on the grey and the
back cable.
To open and close the contact it is
possible to press the lock mechanism and
then pull the string to manually unlock the
mechanism.
8. CHECKING THE DOOR LOCK
Checks that can be made on this part are
only two:
8.a) COIL RESISTANCE CHECK
Coil can be tested giving a 24VDC tension
(continue current) to the connector blue
cables. Coil make only the unlock
operation (release), to hear it working, it is
necessary to arm the door lock pressing
on the lock mechanism (or simply close
the door).
The characteristic coil resistance is equal
to 4.4 – 4.7  and it can be controlled with
a common ohmmeter.
8.b) DOOR OPENING CONTACT
CHECK:
door opening contact is normally closet
and it works as follows:
- Door open: contact opened.
