EU co-financed Twinning Project under the IPA Programme 2011 HR 2011/IB/AG/01 “PREPARATION OF CROATIAN PAYING AGENCY FOR THE POST 2013 PERIOD IN CAP AND CFP IMPLEMENTATION” is seeking to recruit: Language Assistant to the Resident Twinning Advisor - RTA Duration: 9 months, from November 2014 to July 2015 Position is based in: Paying Agency for Agriculture, Fisheries and Rural Development (PAAFRD), Zagreb - Croatia Gross monthly salary: 1.800,00 EUR fixed term contract Tasks of the RTA language assistant:  Translation of legal and technical documents from the project working language (English) into Croatian and vice versa for the project team (RTA, short term experts)  Translation of legal and technical documents from Italian into Croatian and vice versa for the project team (RTA, short term experts) on a daily basis  Interpretation (simultaneous and consecutive) from project working language (English) into Croatian and vice versa for the project team (RTA, short term experts)  Interpretation (simultaneous and consecutive) from Italian into Croatian and vice versa for the project team (RTA, short term experts)  Drafting, editing and proofreading of written project materials in Croatian, English and Italian. Requirements for candidates:  University degree in Translation and/or Interpretation or any other discipline relevant for the position;  Proven experience in translation and interpretation;  Excellent command of spoken and written English and Italian;  Computer literacy (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet);  Ability to work fairly independently as well as a part of a team and show initiative and flexibility  The RTA language assistant may not have or recently (past six months) have had any contractual relation with the beneficiary administration; Besides the following attributes would be an asset:  Experience as an RTA Language Assistant in Twinning projects or experience with the implementation of projects funded by the EU;  Experience from the work in an international environment;  Knowledge of EU policies and institutions. The main objective of the project is to strengthen the internal capacities of the Croatian Paying Agency for Agriculture, Fisheries and Rural Development (PAAFRD) and achieve its readiness for a smooth transition and uninterrupted functioning in the implementation of support schemes in agriculture, fisheries and rural development fully in compliance with EU rules and regulations in the post-2013 period in order to ensure controllability of measures, increase the effectiveness and efficiency with necessary adaptations of new tools of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) and Common Fisheries Policy (CFP).
