Croatian Pavilion at Carassauga 2015
The Croatian Parish Folklore Group “Sljeme” is honoured to host the Croatian Pavilion at Carassauga Festival 2015.
The Croatian Pavilion has proudly participated in Carassauga since its humble beginnings in 1985. Today,
Carassauga is the largest multicultural festival in Ontario and in 2014 the Croatian Pavilion drew 15,000 guests over
3 days.
The purpose of this 3 day festival taking place May 22, 23 and 24, 2015 is to share the Croatian culture with our
community in Mississauga and the greater Toronto area. The Pavilion will be organized and staffed by volunteers of
the folklore group “Sljeme”. This special 3 day event includes Croatian cuisine, music and dancing as well as areas
dedicated to Croatian tourism, sports, art and special interest groups.
It is only through sponsorships and the generous donation of our community’s time and effort that “Sljeme” is able to
continue to share the Croatian culture through this spectacular festival.

The host group Sljeme, along with guest groups from the surrounding
GTA will provide entertainment through music and dance.
Performances showcasing the beautiful costumes from the various
regions of Croatia start on the hour.
CUISINE
The many tastes of Croatia are available throughout the festival. The temptation of
cevapi, chicken schnitzel, and sarma (cabbage rolls) will ﬁll your heart. Nothing pairs
better with a great meal than enjoying the world famous Croatian beer, Karlovacko.
