The founder of the trust is Late Dr.D.K.Audikesavulu, Former Chairman of Tirumala Tirupati Devastanams and Ex-Lok Sabha Member of Parliament. He is a Mechanical Engineer by profession and also a prominent industrialist having industrial establishments in the states of Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh. Mrs.D.K.Satyaprabha is the Chairman of Sreenivasa Trust and Member of Legislative assembly, Andhra Pradesh. The Executive Vice-Chairman of SITAMS is Sri.K.Ranganadham. He was Former Chairman and Managing Director, Andhra Pradesh Southern Power Distribution Company Limited. A.P, Special Officer (Appellate Tribunal for Electricity) for NESCO, WESCO & SOUTHCO of the State of ORISSA. The key person in SITAMS is Dr. A.Kuppurajulu, Vice-Chairman of the college. A former professor of electrical Engineering, and Dean of Academic Courses, IIT Madras, he has wide experience in teaching, research and consultancy in U.S. (University of Washington), Germany (University of Erlangen - Nurenberg and Siemens Research Establishment) and Russia (Moscow Power Institute). M.Tech,(Ph.D), Head of the Department leads a team of 13 dedicated staff members and all of them are post graduates in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. The department has grown steadily over the years from an intake of 30 students in 1999 to 60 students in 2002 and an intake of 120 in 2009. The department has qualified, experienced and dedicated faculty. There are 8 well-equipped Electrical laboratories Viz. Networks, Machines, Measurements, Simulation of Electrical Systems, Control Systems, Power Electronics, Power Converters, and Power System Protection. The primitive motto of the department is to build the talent for the future to meet limitless opportunities. The department also wants to bridge the gap between academia and industry and in this direction we conduct programme for Personality development, Communication skills, Group discussions and Mockup interviews. In association with leading industries we offer technical training and hands on experience in emerging technologies. Academic performance is not lesser to meet competition.
