3rd Annual Juried Photography Exhibition
Raw is a juried photography competition in which the top 40 images will be selected by a juror for a group
exhibition at the Noyes Gallery at Kramer Hall, in Hammonton at 30 Front Street, Hammonton, NJ 08037.
Theme:
Submit images of portraits or portraiture, which is defined as "photography of a person or group of
people that displays the expression, personality, and mood of the subject. Like other types of
portraiture, the focus of the photograph is usually the person’s face, although the entire body and the
background or context may be included. In keeping with the RAW theme, portraits submitted should depict
the raw spirit and diversity of New Jersey’s people.
Eligibility:



All applicants over the age of 18 can apply.
Images in any photographic process (alternative processes, digital, digital manipulations, film…etc.) are
eligible for submission.
Any image submitted must have been taken within the last 3 years.

Payment: May be made via Visa, Discover, Mastercard, American Express, or a check made payable to The Noyes
Museum of Art.
Format:
Entries must be submitted as digital files in the JPEG format and must be 72 ppi, image width not to
exceed 1024 pixels on the longest side. For best display, save as sRGB files. Files should be titled as follows:
LastName_FirstName_1Title.jpg. The file number should correspond with the number on the application form and must
be sent via mail with images on a CD. Mail CD to above address.
Photographer/Copyright:



Entries must be submitted by the original photographer. You must be the sole owner of the copyright of any
image submitted.
Your submission of the photo and entry form is your guarantee that you are the author and copyright holder of
the photo.
Through your submission you agree that the entered photograph(s) may be exhibited in a temporary exhibition
at the Noyes Gallery at Kramer Hall at the discretion of the gallery.
Juror: Bill Horin
Bill Horin is a professional photographer headquartered in Linwood, N.J. He has a high profile within the south Jersey
creative community. Bill is the founder of ArtC, www.artcnow.com. He founded two magazines dedicated to the arts:
ArtBeat and Envision Arts Magazine. For the past decade, his work in both photography and publishing has increasingly
involved other artists.

Exhibited works may not exceed 32” on any side. Simple framing is strongly
preferred. ALL WORKS MUST BE PROPERLY FRAMED, WIRE HUNG, AND READY TO HANG. No saw
tooth hangers or clip frames. Work that is not fit for framing, such as alternative presentation methods must be noted
clearly, and will be accepted at the discretion of the Noyes Museum of Art.
Presentation Guidelines:
Sales: Chosen work must be for sale; in the event of a sale the artist receives 60%, the gallery retains 40%.
Delivery and Return: Drop off and pick up of exhibition work will be at the Noyes Museum Shop, located at
5 S. Second St., Hammonton, NJ 08037. If work is chosen for the exhibition, artists are responsible for drop off/pick
up or shipping to and from the gallery; once accepted you will submit a return check for shipping with the signed gallery
consignment form. All work must be removed from the gallery on Wednesday, February 9th.
