Seeking Nominations for Community Crossroads’ Compass Awards It’s that time again! We are seeking nominations for our premiere biennial event Celebrating Community Partnerships, which will take place on Thursday, October 9, 2014. This must attend affair celebrates Community Crossroads’ commitment to supporting more than 900 individuals with disabilities who experience developmental disabilities, acquired brain injuries, and their families as well as adults with long-term care needs living in Rockingham and Hillsborough counties. It’s also a powerful opportunity for individuals and families to personally meet their legislative candidates for the 2014 November election and educate each other about the issues. You can participate by nominating a local individual or entity! It’s your opportunity to nominate a deserving individual and/or entity that has made an outstanding contribution to our community for a Compass Award (see categories below). Established in 2012, the Compass Award recognizes an individual or entity that exemplifies: “Guidance, Support and Advocacy”, and has selflessly taken action toward helping our local communities be more informed, better places for all to enjoy, and welcoming for citizens of all abilities. Include the Compass category(s) and name of the individual(s) in which you are nominating. Also for each nominee include a description of the individual or entity’s selfless action(s) and how it/they resulted in improving one or more of our local communities to be a more informed, better place for all to enjoy, and welcoming for citizens of all abilities.
