WELCOME TO SAINT LUKE
LUTHERAN CHURCH.
Jesus welcomes everyone – no exceptions!
Jesus was famous for extending a radical
welcome to everyone he met, crossing over
all kinds of human-made lines and
boundaries. Having received Jesus’ radical
welcome ourselves, we extend that same
welcome to all people. At Saint Luke, every
person’s identity is recognized and
celebrated as a gift from God – no
exceptions!
Everything you need to participate in worship
is projected on the screens or included in this
bulletin. If you prefer, you may also open the
red worship books using page and hymn
numbers provided.
Please use the enclosed green Connection
Card to give or request information. You can
also call the pastors at 610.688.0122.
NURSERY CARE for infants and children
through age 5 is provided in room 105 in the
education wing.

“Healing Rain”
Smith
Healing Rain is coming down, it’s nearer to this old town.
Rich and poor, the weak and strong,
its bringing mercy, it won’t be long.
Healing Rain is coming down,
it’s coming closer to the lost and found.
Tears of joy and tears of shame are washed forever in Jesus’ name.
Healing Rain it comes with fire. So let it fall and take us higher.
Healing rain, I’m not afraid to be washed in heaven’s rain
Lift your heads, let us return to the mercy seat where time began.
And in your eyes, I see the pain;
Come soak this dry heart with healing rain.
And only You, the Son of Man
could take a leper and let him stand.
So, lift your hands they can be held by someone greater,
the Great I Am.
Healing rain in heaven’s rain, to be washed in heaven’s rain
Healing rain is falling down, I’m not afraid,
Lesson
Isaiah 43:8–13
8Bring forth the people who are blind, yet have eyes, who are deaf,
yet have ears! 9Let all the nations gather together, and let the
peoples assemble. Who among them declared this, and foretold to
us the former things? Let them bring their witnesses to justify
them, and let them hear and say, "It is true." 10You are my
witnesses, says the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen, so
that you may know and believe me and understand that I am he.
Before me no god was formed, nor shall there be any after me.
11I, am the LORD, and besides me there is no savior. 12I declared
and saved and proclaimed, when there was no strange god among
you; and you are my witnesses, says the LORD. 13I am God, and
also henceforth I am He; there is no one who can deliver from my
hand;

Luke 1:1–4; 24:44–53
The Holy Gospel according to Luke, the first and twenty-fourth
chapters
Glory to you, O Lord
Chapter 1
Since many have undertaken to set down an orderly account of the
events that have been fulfilled among us, 2just as they were handed
on to us by those who from the beginning were eyewitnesses and
servants of the word, 3I too decided, after investigating everything
carefully from the very first, to write an orderly account for you,
most excellent Theophilus, 4so that you may know the truth
concerning the things about which you have been instructed.
Chapter 24
Then he said to them, "These are my words that I spoke to you
while I was still with you — that everything written about me in
the law of Moses, the prophets, and the psalms must be fulfilled."
45
Then he opened their minds to understand the scriptures, 46and he
said to them, "Thus it is written, that the Messiah is to suffer and to
rise from the dead on the third day, 47and that repentance and
forgiveness of sins is to be proclaimed in his name to all nations,
beginning from Jerusalem. 48You are witnesses of these things.
49And see, I am sending upon you what my Father promised; so
stay here in the city until you have been clothed with power from
on high." 50Then he led them out as far as Bethany, and, lifting up
his hands, he blessed them. 51While he was blessing them, he
withdrew from them and was carried up into heaven. 52And they
worshiped him, and returned to Jerusalem with great joy; 53and
they were continually in the temple blessing God.

Praise to You, O Christ.

Prayer Labyrinth: Come see Jamie Webb's Eagle Scout Project!
The labyrinth is nearing completion! Scouts and church youth will
be working today from 11-2 p.m. adding stone, back filling and
maybe even beginning work on the final path! Come to the field
near the back parking lot to take a look. In a few weeks, this will
be a great asset to St. Luke for prayer and meditation.

had been assembled by our Needles & Pins quilters (meetings are

reminiscence will be published for the anniversary luncheon.
