For many seniors, the decision to come to Primrose is not based on health-related issues at all. If you ask our independent living residents why they chose to move to Primrose, you’ll hear a number of different reasons. Some may simply feel overwhelmed by the upkeep of a home that has become too large for them. Others may be looking for a resort-type lifestyle where someone else does the cooking and cleaning for a change. Still others may be looking for an easier way to spend time in fellowship with more of their peers. Since fall is now upon us, outdoor activities like golf, camping, football games and sightseeing tours of the changing leaves are all popular. Indoor fellowship activities like church bazaars, bible studies, book clubs and card tournaments (Continued on page 2) ASSISTED LIVING MONTH (Continued from page 1) also begin anew during the fall – presenting opportunities for people to get back in touch with one another after a busy and hectic summer. Many Primrose residents enjoy participating in these, and other, activities throughout the year. There is nothing to hold them back – they can come and go as they please and enjoy all life has to offer without any of the stress. Of course, when they are done, they can always come back and enjoy our beautiful amenities with their friends before retiring to their spacious apartment for the evening. Many who have made the decision to come to Primrose feel that they have more freedom and independence than they ever had before. Their worries are gone, and they have the opportunity to do all the things they always wanted to do. They are able to enjoy their independence surrounded by amazing people and incredible amenities. That is why we are fond of saying that, at Primrose, this is living! Spring passes and one remembers one's innocence. Summer passes and one remembers one's exuberance. Autumn passes and one remembers one's reverence. Winter passes and one remembers one's perseverance. —Yoko Ono Select Salon Beginning in October, the on-site beauty salon and barber shop is offering extended hours and an additional stylist, Becky.
