Mormonism is one of the largest, fastest growing and wealthiest churches in the world; Mormons will claim to be Christians, and will say that they believe in the Bible, God, and Jesus Christ; They use the same words. They often live more moral lives than Christians do. So what’s the big deal? Starting tonight @ 6:30 pm in Youth Group. Meets in the gym on lower level. General Information May we ask you a question? Do you know what Jesus did for you? Do you know how to have Eternal Life? THE BIBLE SAYS: “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” Romans 3:23 “For the wages of sin is death” Romans 6:23 “But God demonstrated His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8 “That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved.” Romans 10:9 “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Romans 10:13 Would you like to tell God you are trusting Jesus Christ as your savior? If so, why not pray right now and tell Him that you are trusting His Son? Your prayer can go something like this: “Jesus, I know that I am a sinner and I need your forgiveness. I ask You into my life to be my Savior and Lord. Please forgive my sins and give me your gift of eternal life. Thank you for dying for me and saving me.” That’s all it takes to trust your heart, your life on earth, and your eternal life to Jesus Christ. The Bible says, “He who hears My word and believes in Him who sent me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life.” John 5:24 Now that’s a promise you can stand on! If you did ask Jesus into your life today, please let us know. We would love to help you on your new journey with Jesus Christ! Why do you agree or disagree with the statement, “Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you respond to what happens to you.” What kinds of trials do you think the believing Jews of that day were facing? What is your definition of trial? What is the natural reaction to trials? What is the purpose of trials? What might be the difference between the faith/character of a believer never exposed to trials (if there were such a thing) and a believer who had faced many trials and passed the test? Are there areas in your life where you might be considered “double-minded”? Are you going through a trial by yourself? Is it time to share it with someone? Is there someone you know going through a trial? What can you do to help offer some encouragement?
