Target Audience
This program has been planned for dental professionals such as dentists, dental hygienists, dental assistants, lab
technicians and practice managers.
Program Description
OSHA Update will provide updated infection control/workplace safety information in compliance with NC OSHA
regulations. The dental staff will receive fundamental OSHA training addressing the hazards most likely encountered
in the dental office. This program meets the NC Board of Dental Examiners requirement of annual OSHA update
training for dental professionals.
Objectives
Upon completion of this knowledge based program, the participants will be able to:
• Identify the North Carolina OSHA Standards that apply to the dental office;
• Discuss the most recent changes in OSHA regulations and how they affect the dental practice; and
• Review office protocols and standard operating procedures to ensure compliance with NC OSHA regulations and
how they affect the dental practice.
Speaker
Karen Gregory, RN, Karen is director of compliance and education for Total Medical Compliance. She is
responsible for the development and supervision of compliance programs within the organization. Karen is a
requested speaker at local and state medical and dental meetings. She was a presenter at the 2010 Hinman Dental
Meeting, at OSAP Symposiums and the 2012 Federal Dental Services Infection Prevention and Control Course.
Fee
$70 fee if payment and registration are received before November 13, 2014; $80 thereafter.
Payment Policy: SR-AHEC requires full payment for all registrations prior to the program date.We no longer accept purchase
orders or supervisor’s approval signatures in lieu of payment. Access to workshop materials and handouts cannot be released until
payment is received. Early and regular rates will be determined by the date of receipt.

Substitutes/Refunds/Transfers
Participants who register for the program and are not able to attend, may:
• Send a substitute;
• Cancel 48 business hours before the program and receive a voucher for 100% of the registration fee for use at a
future SR-AHEC program; or
• Cancel 48 business hours before the program and obtain a refund for 70% of the registration fee.
Cancellations less than 48 business hours before the program are non-refundable. Participants who register for a
program and do not attend will forfeit the full amount of the program registration fee.
