Energy Capital Premiership is sanctioned under the rules and regulations of
ScotDance Canada.
For Premiership only: Draw for position set by the Competition Committee for all
dances.
Age as of November 16, 2014.
Dancers must perform the 2014 Premiership Steps.
Classes will be determined after receipt of entries. The Competition Committee
reserves the right to combine, split or delete classes any time after the close of
entries.
Prizes for Premiership 16 yrs and over classes:
1st - $60, 2nd- $50, 3rd - $40, 4th - $30, 5th - $20, 6th - $10

CHDA COMPETITION RULES
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY
Special Notes (Restricted Premier):
• A minimum of 100 premier dancers must be entered before Restricted Premier events
will be offered. In the event this condition has not been met, the organizer is under NO
obligation to advise dancers prior to the competition event.
• A Restricted Premier dancer is defined as one who has not won an overall trophy in a
Premier or Restricted Premier class for two years preceding November 15, 2014.
• An overall trophy win is defined as the dancer with the highest total number of points
having competed in more than one individual dance in a Premier competition age group
that has six or more competitors, thus the name Highest Aggregate Trophy. Winners of
special events or one-dance events such as a Hornpipe or Jig, Best-Dressed or
Choreography event DO NOT qualify as an overall trophy win. A Championship and a
Pre-Championship is considered a Premier event.
The competition will be governed by the rules of the Scottish Official Board of
Highland Dancing (SOBHD).
Competitors MUST hold and present a current SOBHD registration card.
Entries will be accepted by regular Canada Post only. No hand deliveries,
express post, couriers or email. Entries must be mailed individually, except where
there is more than one dancer in a family

status change only. Deadline for status changes is November 9th, 2014.
5. There will be NO ENTRY FEE REFUNDS for any reason.
6. The Competition Committee reserves the right to combine, split or delete classes
any time after the close of entries.
7. The decision of the judges will be final. No persons other than members of the
Competition Committee shall communicate with the judges.
8. Complaints must be in written form, signed, accompanied by $10.00, and
submitted to the Competition Chair before the end of the competition. Fee will be
refunded if complaint is sustained.
9. Dancers must remain properly attired to collect awards.
10. Dancers will dance in inverse order of entry. First to enter, last to dance.
11. Competitors must fill in the Reel when requested.
12. Small or Large Group Choreography (1 category): Average age for
Choreography will determine age group. Dancers may enter one group number.

If you would like to sponsor a keeper trophy for one or more of our upcoming CHDA

The cost is minimal, $25 per trophy or $75 for 4, and your contribution will be
recognized on the keeper trophy engraving plate as well as in the competition program.
