grade has read over 12,000 pages!
Students in 7th grade are also participating in classes such as band
and chorus, and some students are
part of sports teams that meet after
school. Many were also excited to
sign up for their first middle-high school drama club production.

said that the night was very informational. He stated, “I learned how to
get organized.” John Stierly added, “It gave parents a lot of resources.”
Please join us for the next Parent Night, which will

On Friday September 19th, 2014, Mrs. Illig's
classroom from Addison High School walked to the
Dollar General Store on Tuscarora Street in Addison. Students learned about what skills are necessary to work at the Dollar General. Physical
strength is needed to unload and load packages
onto the shelves. Time management skills are important to arrive on time to work. Money skills
are very essential when working as a cashier. Public relations are necessary when working
with customers. It was a very educational field
trip and students enjoyed shopping, too! The
class would like to thank the store manager,
Bradley Rawleigh, for allowing them to visit. A
special thanks also goes out to the store clerk,
Amy, and to the Assistant Manager, Lori for giving the class a tour of the store and for answering questions. In addition, the class would like to thank Eartha Onyiriuka, from the Career Development Council, for scheduling this career opportunity for them.
