RESPONSORIAL PSALM
I shall live in the house of the Lord
all the days of my life.
The Lord is my shepherd;
there is nothing I shall want.
Fresh and green are the pastures
where he gives me repose.
Near restful waters he leads me,
to revive my drooping spirit.
He guides me along the right path;
he is true to his name.
If I should walk in the valley of darkness
no evil would I fear.
You are there with your crook and your staff;
with these you give me comfort.
You have prepared a banquet for me
in the sight of my foes.
My head you have anointed with oil;
my cup is overflowing.
Surely goodness and kindness shall follow me
all the days of my life.
In the Lord’s own house shall I dwell
for ever and ever.
I shall live in the house of the Lord
all the days of my life.

GLORIA
Glory to God in the highest,
and on earth peace to people of good will.
We praise you,
we bless you
we adore you,
we glorify you,
we give thanks for your great glory,
Lord God, heavenly King,
O God, almighty Father.
Lord Jesus Christ, Only Begotten Son,
Lord God, Lamb of God, Son of the Father,
you take away the sins of the world,
have mercy on us;
you take away the sins of the world,
receive our prayer;
you are seated at the right hand of the Father,
have mercy on us.
For you alone are the Holy One,
you alone are the Lord,
you alone are the Most High,
Jesus Christ,
with the Holy Spirit,
in the glory of God the Father.
Amen.

THE NICENE CREED
I believe in one God, the Father almighty,
maker of heaven and earth, of all things visible
and invisible.
I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ, the Only
Begotten Son of God, born of the Father
before all ages. God from God, Light from
Light, true God from true God, begotten, not
made, consubstantial with the Father; through
him all things were made. For us and for our
salvation he came down from heaven, and by
the Holy Spirit was incarnate of the Virgin
Mary, and became man.
For our sake he was crucified under Pontius
Pilate, he suffered death and was buried, and
rose again on the third day in accordance with
the Scriptures. He ascended into heaven and
is seated at the right hand of the Father. He
will come again in glory to judge the living and
the dead and his kingdom will have no end.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver
of life, who proceeds from the Father and the
Son, who with the Father and the Son is
adored and glorified, who has spoken through
the prophets.
I believe in one, holy, catholic and apostolic
Church. I confess one Baptism for the
forgiveness of sins and I look forward to the
resurrection of the dead and the life of the
world to come.
Amen.

Stay away from Anger... It hurts only you!
If you are right then there is no need to get angry, and
If you are wrong then you don't have any right to get angry.
Patience with family is love,
Patience with others is respect,
Patience with self is confidence and
Patience with GOD is faith.
Never Think Hard about the PAST, It brings Tears...
Don't think more about the FUTURE, It brings Fear...
Live this Moment with a Smile, It brings Cheer.
Every test in our life makes us bitter or better,
Every problem comes to make us or break us,
The choice is ours whether we become victims or victorious.
Search for a beautiful heart not a beautiful face.
Beautiful things are not always good but good things are always beautiful.
Do you know why God created gaps between fingers?
So that someone who is special to you comes and fills those gaps by
holding your hand forever.
Happiness keeps You Sweet,
Trials keep You Strong,
Sorrows keep You Human,
Failures keeps You Humble,
Success keeps You Glowing,
But Only God keeps You Going!

PRAYERS OF THE FAITHFUL
Dear Lord, we pray that the choices we make this week may be life-giving.
Lord hear our prayer
Lord we pray for all who may have lost their way in the busyness of life. Help
them to recognise what is truly important in life.
Lord hear our prayer
Lord, so often we can make excuses for not attending Mass. Our Gospel shows
that you are hurt when people take you for granted. Forgive us Lord.
Lord hear our prayer
Lord we pray that our religion may become more and more God focused.
Lord hear our prayer
Volunteers Required
Volunteers are sought to assist with giving the church a good clean after the 10am Mass
on Sunday 19th October. Bishop Peter Elliott will celebrate a special Confirmation Mass

weekend Masses.
Please contact the parish office if you can assist.
Legion of Mary
Meetings are held every Friday evening at 6.30pm (except during the month of October
when meetings will commence at 6.00pm) in the Parish Centre Meeting Room. All are
welcome at our meetings. We would love to have new members join our group.
ROSARY DURING THE MONTH OF OCTOBER
During the month of October the Legion of Mary will lead the Rosary for the parish each
Friday evening at 7.15pm in the church. Please note—the weekly Legion of Mary
meeting will be held at 6.00pm (not 6.30pm) in the parish centre during October followed
by the Rosary at 7.15pm in the church. An invitation is extended to all parishioners to
join the Legion for the Rosary. You are also most welcome to attend their weekly meeting
if interested.
