We have a goal to raise $700.00 for the United Way by October 20, 2014. If you could stop by the office and submit a donation it would be greatly appreciated. For every $1.00 donation, you get a chance to win a $25.00 gift card for Walmart! Keeping Warm This Winter Try to wear slippers around the house. Your feet are an area where you can lose a lot of heat, and it seems that once your feet are cold your whole body can feel cold. So wearing slippers can help keep you feeling warm and cozy. Prevent Cracked Lips & Hands The cold can cause cracking on your hands and lips which can be very painful. Remember to wear gloves when out in the cold and moisturize your hands often. Also, keep a moisturizing lip balm in your coat pocket to prevent dry cracked lips. Make Your Own Draft Stopper Take a towel and fold it to match the width of your door. Lay it flat and begin to roll each end towards the middle. Stop rolling when the space between the rolls matches the thickness of the door. Slide the rolled towel under the door, and pin each rolled side to the door. No more cold drafts! Peanut Butter Hot Chocolate! Take your favourite hot chocolate mix and add in a tablespoon of peanut butter. Stir until the peanut butter has melted and top with marshmallows and whip cream. Rainy Weather on Halloween? If it’s raining out on Halloween night, try trick-or-treating at Eastgate Mall or Limeridge Mall. Stores often give out candy to kids on Halloween.
