“Key concepts in Soft
Tissue Grafting.”
Description:
There are various techniques used to graft gingiva around implants
and natural teeth. In this workshop, advantages and disadvantages
of pedicle, double papillary, free gingival, connective tissue, VIP,
and Fanwise grafting techniques will be presented. Three hours of
lectures followed by two hours of intensive hands on training will be
performed.
Objective:
— Diagnosis and treatment planning for periodontal plastic surgery is
presented.
— Advantages and disadvantages between pedicle, double papillary,
free gingival and connective tissue grafts will be explained.
— Simplified autologous CT harvesting is presented.
— Allograft tissue as an alternative grafting source is explored.
— Role of attached gingiva around implants and natural teeth are
discussed.
— Biological modifiers will be discussed.
— Cases involving multi-discipline specialties will be presented.
