We are encouraging blah, blah students to choose 1 complex picture/chapter book to keep at home for a few days and 1 'just right' book that the child can bring home and back to school each day. If your child has the word 'library' written in his/her planner this isblah, their own reminder to find the daily library book and return it to Thursday: blah, blah, blah, school. HOME WRITING HOMEWORK- your child has a draft letter template in his/her home writing blah book as part of the homework this weekend which is to write their letter to Santa. Please help them with this writing task by doing a little bit of editing to be sure Santa understands their wishes. Mr. Oliveira/ Ms. Frank In grade 4 we are finishing our rough draft of our November story in Language Arts. I am also doing some reading comprehension stories to help the kids with reading and understanding concepts. In social studies we are finishing up our First Nations unit and Mrs. Hanson will be coming in to do a technology project with the kids. Next week in Socials Studies we will be learning about Capitals and Provinces. French has started for grade 4 students and we are having a great time learning vocabulary and speaking French. Math is going well and in Science the kids are working on an animal project presentation. Have a happy great weekend!
