Allgemeine Sicherheitshinweise
Die folgenden Informationen gelten, wenn die Rückwandhaube IP20 kundenseitig angebaut wird.
Hinweis
Beachten Sie folgende Punkte:
• Anbau und Anschluss des Geräts mit Rückwandhaube IP20 liegen in Verantwortung des Anlagenbauers.
• Der Anbau der Rückwandhaube IP20 an einem Gerät ist nur entsprechend Kapitel "Rückwandhaube IP20 anbauen
(Seite 4)" des vorliegenden Dokuments erlaubt.
Beachten Sie auch die "Sicherheitshinweise" in den Dokumenten, die zum betreffenden Gerät gehören.
Gewährleistung
Der störungsfreie und sichere Betrieb des Geräts, an dem eine Rückwandhaube IP20 angebaut wird, setzt Folgendes
voraus:
● Sachgemäßer Transport und Lagerung
● Sachgerechter Anbau und Anschluss
Bei Nichteinhaltung dieser Bestimmungen erlischt die Gewährleistung für das Gerät.
EGB
Ein Elektrostatisch Gefährdetes Bauteil ist mit elektronischen Bauelementen bestückt. Elektronische Bauelemente sind
technisch bedingt empfindlich gegen Überspannungen und damit auch gegen Entladung statischer Elektrizität. Beachten Sie
die entsprechenden Vorschriften im Umgang mit EGB.
Zulässige Einbaulagen
WARNUNG
Personen- und Sachschaden bei unzulässiger Einbaulage
Wenn Sie das Gerät in einer nicht zugelassenen Lage einbauen, kann Personen- und Sachschaden die Folge sein.
Bauen Sie das Gerät mit Rückwandhaube IP20 nur in einer der zulässigen Einbaulagen ein.
Zulässige Einbaulagen
Für ein Gerät mit Rückwandhaube IP20 sind ausschließlich folgende Einbaulagen zulässig:
● Gerätefront im Querformat senkrecht eingebaut
● Gerätefront im Querformat geneigt eingebaut
Die Gerätefront darf maximal 35° nach vorn oder hinten geneigt sein.
Unzulässige Einbaulagen
Unzulässige Einbaulagen für ein Gerät mit Rückwandhaube IP20 sind, z. B.:
● Einbau im Hochformat
● Einbau mit seitlicher Neigung

Rückwandhaube IP20 anbauen
Die folgenden Informationen gelten, wenn die Rückwandhaube IP20 kundenseitig angebaut wird.
Die im Kapitel "Technische Daten" der zugehörigen Betriebsanleitung garantierten Daten werden nur dann gewährleistet:
● Wenn die Rückwandhaube IP20 von Fachpersonal angebaut wird
● Wenn der Anbau entsprechend folgendem Arbeitsgang erfolgt
● Wenn das Gerät an eine Rückwandhaube IP20 angebaut ist
Voraussetzung
● Rückwandhaube IP20
● Gerät, an dem eine Rückwandhaube IP20 angebaut werden soll
Alle Anschlussleitungen sind vom Gerät getrennt. Das Gerät ist spannungsfrei.
● Schrauben, siehe Kapitel "Lieferumfang (Seite 2)"
● Schraubendreher T10
● Geeignete Montageunterlage zum Schutz der Gerätefront vor Beschädigung
Vorgehensweise
Dieser Abschnitt beschreibt den Anbau der Rückwandhaube IP20 anhand von Abbildungen der Bediengeräte TP1500
Comfort und des TP2200 Comfort. Die Vorgehensweise gilt analog für alle entsprechend Kapitel "Gültigkeit (Seite 1)"
aufgeführten Geräte.
Anbau
1. Legen Sie das Gerät auf seiner Vorderseite ab.
2. Übertragen Sie die Artikelnummer vom Typschild des Geräts auf das Typschild der Rückwandhaube IP20. Einige
Zeichen sind auf dem Typschild der Rückwandhaube IP20 bereits aufgedruckt, die fehlenden Zeichen sind zu ergänzen.
3. Entfernen Sie abhängig von Ihrem Gerät die in folgenden Abbildungen mit einem Quadrat gekennzeichneten Schrauben.

19"- oder 22"-Gerät:
ACHTUNG
Bei 19"- und 22"-Geräten nicht alle Schrauben entfernen
Aus Gründen der Funktionssicherheit des Geräts ist es nicht gestattet, alle Schrauben zu entfernen.
Entfernen Sie nicht die mit einem Kreis gekennzeichneten Schrauben. Diese werden durch jeweils eine Wölbung in der
Rückwandhaube IP20 überdeckt.
4. Bewahren Sie die herausgedrehten Schrauben für den Fall auf, dass das Gerät zu einem späteren Zeitpunkt ohne
Rückwandhaube verwendet werden soll.
5. Legen Sie die Rückwandhaube IP20 auf die Rückseite des Bediengeräts.
6. Entnehmen Sie dem Beipack die erforderliche Anzahl Schrauben, um die Rückwandhaube IP20 zu befestigen.
Hinweis
Verwenden Sie für den Anbau nur die Schrauben des Beipacks.
7. Drehen Sie die Schrauben ein.
Das zulässige Drehmoment beträgt 0,8 Nm.
8. Gilt für SIMATIC Industrial Thin Client:
Kleben Sie das im Beipack enthaltene Schild für die Schnittstellenbeschriftung des SIMATIC Industrial Thin Client auf die
Rückwandhaube IP20, so dass das vorhandene Schild für die Schnittstellenbeschriftung vollständig überdeckt wird.
Damit ist der Anbau der Rückwandhaube IP20 beendet.
Abbau
Gehen Sie beim Abbau in umgekehrter Reihenfolge zum Anbau vor. Verwenden Sie beim Anbau die entsprechend
Arbeitsschritt 3 aufbewahrten Schrauben.
Gerät anbauen
Der Anbau des Geräts mit angebauter Rückwandhaube IP20 an eine Maschine oder Anlage liegt in Verantwortung des
Anlagenbauers.
Hinweis
Beachten Sie folgende Punkte:
• Die Befestigungsstelle für das Gerät mit der Rückwandhaube IP20 muss für das 4-fache Gerätegewicht ausgelegt sein.
Beachten Sie die Angaben der Klassifizierung VESA MIS-D 100 des VESA-Standards.
• Die Lüftungsschlitze an der Rückwandhaube IP20 dürfen nach der Montage nicht verdeckt sein.

Abdeckung für die Speicherkartensteckplätze öffnen und schließen
Das Kapitel gilt für die Varianten der Comfort Panels entsprechend Kapitel "Gültigkeit (Seite 1)". Im Folgenden ist das
Öffnen und Schließen der Abdeckung für die Speicherkartensteckplätze beschrieben.
Die im Kapitel "Technische Daten" des Dokuments entsprechend Kapitel "Gültigkeit (Seite 1)" garantierten Daten werden
nur dann gewährleistet, wenn die Abdeckung geschlossen ist.
Voraussetzung
● Rückwandhaube IP20 ist angebaut
● Schraubendreher T10
Vorgehensweise
Die folgende Vorgehensweise zeigt die Rückwandhaube IP20 für das Bediengerät TP2200 Comfort und gilt analog für alle
Rückwandhauben IP20, die eine Abdeckung für Speicherkartensteckplätze besitzen.
Öffnen
1. Drehen Sie die Schraube ② heraus.
2. Greifen Sie den Steg ③ und bewegen Sie die Abdeckung ① vom Gerät weg.
3. Legen Sie die Abdeckung ab.
Der Steckplatz für das Speichermedium ist zugänglich.
Voraussetzung und Vorgehensweise für das Stecken und Ziehen des Speichermediums ist im Dokument des zugehörigen
Geräts beschrieben.
Schließen
Gehen Sie beim Schließen in umgekehrter Reihenfolge zum Öffnen vor.

Schnittstellenabdeckung öffnen und schließen
Im Folgenden ist das Öffnen und Schließen der Schnittstellenabdeckung an der Rückwandhaube IP20 beschrieben.
Die im Kapitel "Technische Daten" des Dokuments entsprechend Kapitel "Gültigkeit (Seite 1)" garantierten Daten werden
nur dann gewährleistet, wenn die Schnittstellenabdeckung geschlossen ist.
Voraussetzung
● Rückwandhaube IP20 ist angebaut
Vorgehensweise
Die folgende Vorgehensweise ist ein Beispiel anhand des TP2200 Comfort. Die Vorgehensweise gilt analog für alle
entsprechend Kapitel "Gültigkeit (Seite 1)" aufgeführten Geräte.
Öffnen
1. Drehen Sie die Schrauben ③ und ④ heraus.
Die Schrauben lassen sich per Hand drehen und sind unverlierbar an der Schnittstellenabdeckung befestigt.
2. Heben Sie die Schnittstellenabdeckung an, hängen Sie diese an den Positionen ① und ② aus und heben Sie die
Schnittstellenabdeckung ab.
3. Legen Sie die Schnittstellenabdeckung ab.
Die Schnittstellen am Gerät liegen frei.
Schließen
Gehen Sie beim Schließen in umgekehrter Reihenfolge zum Öffnen vor. Drehen Sie die Rändelschrauben bis zum Anschlag
ein.

Gerät anschließen und trennen
Im Folgenden ist das Anschließen der Leitungen an den Schnittstellen beschrieben.
Voraussetzung
● Rückwandhaube IP20 ist angebaut

● Kabelbinder

Vorgehensweise
Die folgende Vorgehensweise ist ein Beispiel anhand des TP2200 Comfort. Die Vorgehensweise gilt analog für alle
entsprechend Kapitel "Gültigkeit (Seite 1)" aufgeführten Geräte.
Anschließen
1. Schließen Sie die Leitungen an.
Das Anschließen der Leitungen ist im zugehörigen Dokument des betreffenden Geräts beschrieben.
2. Sichern Sie die angeschlossenen Leitungen mit Kabelbindern an den Befestigungselementen der Rückwandhaube IP20.
Die folgende Abbildung zeigt ein Beispiel.
3. Schließen Sie die Schnittstellenabdeckung entsprechend Kapitel "Schnittstellenabdeckung öffnen und schließen
(Seite 7)".
Trennen
Gehen Sie beim Trennen in umgekehrter Reihenfolge zum Anschließen vor. Schließen Sie die Schnittstellenabdeckung.

The information below applies when the back cover IP20 is mounted by the customer.
Note
Observe the following points:
• Mounting and connection of the device with back cover IP20 is the responsibility of the plant constructor.
• The mounting of the back cover IP20 on a device is only permitted according to section "Mounting back cover IP20
(Page 15)" of this document.
Observe also the "Safety instructions" in the documents related to the respective device.
Warranty
Prerequisites for trouble-free and safe operation of the device on which back cover IP20 is to be mounted:
● Proper transportation and storage
● Proper mounting and wiring
Non-compliance with these regulations shall render the device warranty void.
ESD
An ESD (Electrostatically Sensitive Device) is equipped with electronic components. Due to their design, electronic
components are highly sensitive to overvoltage and electrostatic discharge. Observe the regulations governing the handling
of ESD components.
Permitted mounting positions
WARNING
Personal injury and material damage in case of unacceptable mounting position
If you install the device in an unacceptable position, personal injury and material damage can occur.
Install the device with back cover IP20 only in one of the permitted mounting positions.
Permitted mounting positions
The device with back cover IP20 may be mounted in the following mounting positions only:
● Device front in landscape format installed vertically
● Device front in landscape format installed with incline
The device front must not incline forward or backward more than 35°.
Unacceptable mounting positions
Unacceptable mounting positions for a device with back cover IP20 are, for example:
● Installation in portrait format
● Installation with lateral incline

Mounting back cover IP20
The information below applies when the back cover IP20 is mounted by the customer.
The data listed in the section "Technical Specifications" of the associated operating instructions are only guaranteed:
● If the back cover IP20 is mounted by qualified personnel
● If mounting takes place according to the following workflow
● If the device is mounted on a back cover IP20
Requirement
● Back cover IP20
● Device on which a back cover IP20 is to be mounted
All connecting cables have been pulled from the device. The device is voltage-free.

● Suitable installation pad to protect the device front against damage
Procedure
This section describes the mounting of the back cover IP20 based on figures of HMI devices TP1500 Comfort and TP2200
Comfort. The procedure applies accordingly to all corresponding devices listed in section "Validity (Page 12)".
Installation
1. Place down the HMI device on its front side.
2. Transfer the article number from the nameplate of the device to the nameplate of the back cover IP20. Some characters
are already printed on the nameplate of the back cover IP20, the missing characters are to be added.
3. Depending on your device, remove the screws marked with a square in the figures below.

19" or 22" device:
NOTICE
For 19" and 22" devices do not remove all screws
For reasons concerning the operational safety of the device, it is not permitted to remove all screws.
Do not remove the screws marked with a circle. Each of these is covered by a curvature in the back cover IP20.
4. Store the removed screws aside in case you want to use the device later without back cover.
5. Place the back cover IP20 on the rear of the HMI device.
6. Remove from the accessory kit the required number of screws to fasten the back cover IP20.

7. Tighten the screws.
The permitted torque is 0.8 Nm.
8. Applies to SIMATIC Industrial Thin Client:
Glue the label (contained in the accessory kit) for interface labeling of the SIMATIC Industrial Thin Client onto the back
cover IP20 so that the existing label for interface labeling is completely covered.
Mounting of the back cover IP20 is now complete.
Removal
For removal, follow the mounting steps in reverse order. For re-mounting, use the screws stored according to work step 3.
Mounting the device
The mounting of the device with mounted back cover IP20 on a machine or plant is the responsibility of the plant constructor.
Note
Observe the following points:
• The fastening point for the device with back cover IP20 must be designed for four times the weight of the device.
Note the information about the VESA MIS-D 100 classification of the VESA standard.
• The ventilation slots on the back cover IP20 must not be covered after mounting.

Opening and closing of the cover for memory card slots
The section applies to the versions of the Comfort Panels according to section "Validity (Page 12)". The following section
describes the opening and closing of the cover for the memory card slots.
The data listed in the section "Technical Specifications" of the associated section "Validity (Page 12)" are only guaranteed if
the cover is closed.
Requirement
● Back cover IP20 is mounted
● T10 screwdriver
Procedure
The following procedure shows the back cover IP20 for the HMI device TP2200 Comfort and also applies to all back covers
IP20 that have a cover for memory card slots.
Opening
1. Remove the screw ②.
2. Grab the rod ③ and move the cover ① away from the device.
3. Put down the cover.
The slot for the storage medium is accessible.
Requirement and procedure for inserting and removing the storage medium are described in the document of the relevant
device.
Close
For closing, follow the steps for opening in reverse order.

The following procedure is an example using the TP2200 Comfort. The procedure applies accordingly to all corresponding

Opening
1. Remove the screws ③ and ④.
The screws can be turned by hand and are fastened captive to the interface cover.
2. Lift the interface cover, detach it at the positions ① and ② and remove it.
3. Put down the interface cover.
The interfaces on the device are exposed.
Close
For closing, follow the steps for opening in reverse order. Tighten the knurled screws in as far as they will go.

Connecting and disconnecting the device

Procedure
The following procedure is an example using the TP2200 Comfort. The procedure applies accordingly to all corresponding
devices listed in section "Validity (Page 12)".
Wiring
1. Connect the cables.
The connection of the cables is described in the relevant document of the particular device.
2. Secure the connected cables with cable ties to he fastening elements of the back cover IP20. The figure below shows an
example.
3. Connect the interface cover according to section "Opening and closing the interface cover (Page 18)".
Disconnecting
For disconnecting, follow the steps for connecting in reverse order. Close the interface cover.
