FOLD! FOLD LIKE THE WIND!

FOLD! FOLD
LIKE THE WIND!
So, you wanna turn that ordinary piece of paper into a ship, huh? Here’s how to make it happen. Just remember to write down any important info from
your letter before you start. After all, no one wants to unfold a perfect lil’ ship to find a confirmation number, right?
STEP 1
STEP 2
OK, first lay the paper down, like you’re going to write a letter. Then, bring the top down to fold it in half.
Next, fold your paper in half again, this time taking the left side, and bringing it over to the right.
STEP 3
STEP 4
STEP 5
STEP 6
Now, unfold that last fold, and use the crease as a guide in this next part. Now, just fold down the two corners on the top (bent) side, so they meet on the crease, like above.
STEP 7
STEP 8
STEP 9
If you’ve done everything right, you should now have a little rectangular strip of paper at the bottom of the paper. Fold up that little rectangle on one side of the page.
You have two little triangles sticking out on either side, right? Fold those triangles back like this.
STEP 10
STEP 11
STEP 12
Now, flip over the paper, and fold the little rectangle on this side up too, just like you did before. Except this time, you don’t need to worry about the little triangles.
STEP 13
STEP 14
STEP 15
Next, use your fingers to open up the bottom of your ship, and push the two bottom corners together to make a diamond. Just check the picture to see how.
STEP 16
STEP 17
STEP 18
Then, take the lower corner of your diamond and fold it upwards. Flip your diamond over, and do the same with the other lower corner. You should now have a triangle.
STEP 19
STEP 20
Almost there! Just grab the upper corners of the square, one in each hand, and pull them apart, like you see in the picture.
Go slow! If you did everything right, your square will unfold into your ship!
STEP 21
Finally, it’s time for some tweaks. Turn the ship over and
expand the hole in the bottom. This trick will help it float
better, and stay balanced.
STEP 22
You did it! Now all you need is a bathtub, a sink, or…ahem…
a tropical beach to float your ship in. Nice foldin’!
