SAMGORI SOUTH DOME OIL FIELD
• Location: 30 km. East from Tbilisi, close to Vaziani railway station. • The first oil was recovered in 1979, from well No. 17.
• The fold is connected to anticline structure in Middle Eocene and has asymmetric structure. The north limb of the fold is 300 inclined and the south limb ‐ 50‐600. Roof of Middle Eocene sediments in the most raised place of the fold is ‐1425 m. deep. • The fold length at isoline ‐1650 m. estimates 5,0 km., width average ‐ 1,2 km., total area ‐ 6 km2. • South Dome field type is massive, cavernous‐fractured reservoir, maximum oil saturated strata ‐ 225m; field regime – water‐drive; water type ‐ chlorine‐calcium, with total mineralization 5 mg/l; • Permeability of fractures ‐ 0.167mkm2;
• Effective porosity ‐ 0.97%;
• Initial WOC ‐ 1650m TVDSS;
• Initial formation pressure ‐ 19.95 MPa (‐1650 m ) ;
• Formation temperature ‐ 1100C (‐1650 m);
• Total number of wells – 20
• Wells depth ‐ 2200 – 3000 m
• Rock cap is presented by Upper Eocene terrigenous sediments, thickness of which is more than 1000m. It can be considered as typical rock cap. • Oil density in situ ‐ 0, 701 mg/cm3, in the surface ‐ 0,822
• Sulfur content ‐ 0,28%, paraffin content ‐ 4,68%, tar and asphalts ‐ 7,74%.
