T1-S Gateway RIG is a CAISOaccredited Remote Intelligence
Gateway (RIG) that fulfills
requirements to participate in
California’s electric markets.
Trimark’s T1-S Gateway is the
system of choice for hundreds
of resources – from 1 MW
solar plants to 2.3 GW nuclear
sites.
T1-S Gateway meets CAISO RIG
requirements including:
• Real-time data telemetry
from revenue meters, plant
interfaces, meteorological
systems, and PV inverters;
• Send data securely from
generation resource to
CAISO via DNP connection
with 2048-bit encryption;
• Automated Generation
Control (AGC) enables set
point adjustments by an
authorized balancing authority or host utility;
• Supports resource generation control, data historization, alarms and alerts,
reporting, and analytics.
T1-S Gateway software can run
on any Microsoft Windows®
based application server or
industrial computer, such as
Trimark’s T1-S Data Gateway
(TDG).
• Data aggregation of multiple, small resources; and
• Ability to aggregate
data from multiple,
authorized field RIGs.
• Configurable as
Aggregating RIG (ARIG)
for up to 25 co-located

not automatically authorize
you to connect to the grid and
sell power. You must first gain a
series of approvals from CAISO
through their New Resource
Integration (NRI) process.
• System supports:
• Multi-drop connection;
• 16 to 64-bit signed and
unsigned, and Real data
types;
Trimark’s team helps resource
owners navigate the NRI
process and attain RIG certification from CAISO. Trimark has
guided hundreds of generation
resources from concept to
successful commissioning.
Trimark works with CAISO and
the NRI process every day.
We look forward to working
with you to ensure that your
