Special Collection - Sunday, Oct. 26th - Diocesan Priests Retirement
It is time again for a visit to the Discalced Carmelite Nun Monastery at 600 Flowers
Ave., Dallas, 76211 for All Saints on Sunday, November 2nd, 2014 after the 9:00
a.m. Mass and before the 11:30 a.m. Mass. Each year we are invited into their parlor
where the Sisters can see the children dressed in their saint's costumes. The children
come dressed as a saint with three clues to give to Sisters to guess their saint. We call
this STUMP THE SISTERS! We will have light refreshments after visiting the Sisters.

Seniors unite!
Pancake Breakfast TODAY!!!
The Knights of Columbus will host a Pancake Breakfast after the 9am and 11:30am
Masses today benefitting the Parish Relief Fund. Suggested donations are $5 for adults
and $3 for children. The Parish Relief Fund is administered by Mater Dei Parish and
supports parishioners in need. All are welcome!!

The Mater Dei Pumpkin Patch will be selling
pumpkins until Oct. 31st.
Volunteers are needed to sell pumpkins
in two-hour shifts or at least in 30 minute segments
10am - 7pm Every Day.

ADULT CATECHISM—7pm on TUESDAYS!!
Lets get together, meet one another and form a group to provide social and spiritual support and service to one another and to the community at Mater Dei. Come to St. Anne's
room on Wed, Nov 5th, at 10am. We'll discuss a name for ourselves and future plans.
All Hallows Eve Party
All Hallows Eve Party October 31st 7-9pm. All Mater Dei parish welcome!
6:30pm-7pm Sacr ed Hear t Devotions. Childr en ar e welcome to come in costumes,
but please leave wings, swords, and other distracting accessories outside the church.
Immediately following the Sacred Heart Devotions we will meet in Parish Hall to pray a
decade of the rosary to Mary, Queen of the Saints and say a Litany of the Saints.
7:15pm A’ Souling begins, children will line up outside the classroom building and enter in small groups. “A Soul Cake a Soul Cake a Prayer for a Soul Cake!”
After the children have finished A’Souling everyone is invited to join us outside for a
bonfire, snacks, and good company!
Dinner - 6-7:00 p.m.
Devotions - 7:00-8:30 p.m.
All Souls Novena
Starting on 24 October until the Eve of All Souls Day, which takes place on 2 November Say once a day for nine days, O God, the Creator and Redeemer of all the faithful, grant to
the souls of thy servants and handmaids departed, the remission of all their sins; that
through pious supplications they may obtain the pardon they have always desired. Who
livest and reignest with God the Father in the unity of the Holy Ghost, God, world without
end. Amen.
