OCTOBER COUNT
Every year in the Diocese of Pittsburgh, each parish is
asked to count the attendance of all weekend Masses
throughout the month of October. This is called the
“October Count.” This annual collection of data helps
the bishop’s office to measure the vitality of parishes
and to assist in making decisions when to close,
merge, or form new parishes.
Congratulations Father Scheib
on the 38th anniversary
of your Ordination!
October 23rd
ATTEND MASS EVERY WEEKEND
BECAUSE YOU COUNT AND WE
COUNT ON YOU!
Happy Birthday Father Koser!
October 24th
RITE OF CHRISTIAN INITIATION FOR ADULTS
(RCIA) BEGINS IN OCTOBER
Are you or someone you know
interested in becoming Catholic? Or
are you a Catholic adult who would
like to complete the Sacraments
of Initiation (Eucharist and/or
Confirmation)? It’s not to late to join the RCIA! Even
though we have started meeting weekly for instruction
in the Catholic faith. For more information about the
R.C.I.A. call Father Bob or Deacon Dan at the parish
office, 412-461-6906.
Save the date!
For the annual
Family Turkey Bingo!
November 22
Please pray for the happy repose of the soul of
CAITLYN GALLAGHER, our parishioner, who was
buried from our church this past week. May she rest
in the peace of the Lord. Please keep her family in
your prayers.
Enjoyment Books
The Enjoyment Books for the 2014-15 season
are now on sale by the Holy Name Society and
the Christian Mothers. The price of the books
will be $30 again this year. To purchase one
please see Ed Caton after any Sunday morning
mass or call Kathy Terbosic at 412-886-0411.
Remembrance Mass
Holy Angels Parish will remember those
beloved departed who have passed away
this year at a special Remembrance Mass
on Monday, November 3, at 7:00 p.m.
We invite family and friends of the
deceased, as well as parishioners who
wish to offer prayer and support, to attend
this liturgy.
In the Gospel today Jesus says:
“Repay to Caesar what belongs to
Caesar and to God what belongs to
God.” When God is the center of our
lives there is no problem with giving
others their due. If you or a family
you know need assistance, please call the
Society of St. Vincent de Paul, 412-461-6906, Ext.
5, so that together we can help the suffering and
poor.
