Kiowa Youth Basketball Sign-ups will be held today, Thursday, Oct. 16th, in the HS Cafeteria from 3:45 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Come to the Apple Harvest Mixer on Wednesday, Oct. 22nd in the HS Cafeteria from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Enjoy fresh organic
Washington Apples! We will offer 2 lb. bags as well as larger flats of this year’s harvest: Red Delicious, Golden Delicious,
Jonathans, Jonagolds, Gala, or Fuji. You can purchase single apples at the Mixer while you pick up your order. Stick around and
taste samples of how to use these delicious apples in recipes! KPTCC is sponsoring this fundraiser for Kiowa Schools.
There will be NO SCHOOL on Thursday, Oct. 23rd, for Parent/Teacher Conferences. Conferences are scheduled for all grades
from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the teacher’s classrooms. Elementary parents will have scheduled appointments. Middle School
and High School parents can visit teachers in their classrooms. If they are busy, there will be sign-up sheets by their doors so
parents can sign-up for the next available opening.
Elementary Fall Costume Parade will be held in the KHS Gym on Thursday, Oct. 30 th, at 2:30 p.m. Community businesses are
invited to hand out treats to promote their business, and may begin setting up at 2:00 p.m. Reservation forms are available in all
school offices and are due by Oct. 20th. Please contact Cindy in the elementary office for more information, 303-621-2042.
KPTCC: WE NEED YOUR HELP! KPTCC is asking for parent help to help us provide a meal for the teachers during Parent
Teacher conferences. We will be serving a selection of homemade soups, salad, bread, and desserts. We are asking for donations
of salads, bread and desserts. If you are willing to provide an item for the meal, please contact Sue Walker @ 720-245-4541.
BoxTops: Keep those Box Tops coming in. The Kiowa Parent Teacher Community Club is in the final phase of our fall Box Tops for
Education drive. Our Fall Box Top deadline is October 30th, but please keep collecting. We collect Box Tops and Campbell’s
soup labels year round. Ask your parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, neighbors and anyone else to save Box Tops for us. This
is “free money” so please don’t throw it away!
Bake Sale Items Needed: We are seeking donations of baked goods for the Santa Treat Bake Sale at the Kiowa Band Parents
Craft Show. Proceeds fund “Santa Treats” that are distributed during the Winter Concert. Please have your baked goods to the
KMS Gym by 8:30 am on Saturday, November 1st. Our booth is by the double doors as you enter the gym. Please stop by, and
purchase a tasty treat to help us continue this longstanding Kiowa tradition. If you would like to support us but are unable to
donate an item, we gladly accept monetary donations. Please contact Betty Hood at 303-243-0755.
Crafters Wanted the for 28th Annual Kiowa Craft Fair to be held Saturday, Nov. 1st in the Kiowa Middle School Gym from 9 a.m.
to 4 p.m. Reservation forms are available in all school offices or by leaving a message at 303-621-2115 ext. 8555.
More information will be available soon for a FREE boys basketball clinic on Saturday, Nov. 15th. This clinic will be held in the
high school gym from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. for all boys in high school, middle school, and 5th grade.
