When night falls over Amsterdam, a colourful and trendy international clubbing
crowd finds its way to the dozens of cool venues throughout the city. Whether
you like your subs to bang out the latest big room tunes or intricate electronica
compositions; theres a place for you with a stellar line-up in every electronic
genre known to man.
ADE Playground is a series of daytime events for ADE festival visitors. It is a
unique, dance-related lifestyle programme with, interactive presentations, art,
goodies and surprises. The platform is divided into film, art, MusicTalks, gear
and pop-ups. Each could include, for example, showcases by well-known artists,
and exhibitions, master classes and workshops by professionals.

Red Bull Music Academy presents Richie Hawtin dotUP
Red Bull Music Academy and Richie Hawtin treated the people of Amsterdam to a
two-hour free gig at Pllek on the Friday afternoon of ADE. Richie Hawtin fans knew
something was going to happen when the DJ told to keep an eye on the Twitter
hashtag #dotUPrbma for clues about a secret “happening” during ADE. 3.000 fans
came to the northern district of Amsterdam on a windy ferry for a legendary party.

Pioneer teamed up with ADE Playground to take over the Amsterdam View,
located in the city’s historical centre. Aspiring and professional DJs were
encouraged to drop by for workshops and masterclasses by the Pioneer DJ

Vodafone firestarters hosted two panels at ADE Next focussing on the future of
mixing and the role of future technology in the creativity of the artist. The panel
guests were renowned artist such as Joris Voorn, Ambivalent, Dave Clarke and

Samsung S-Reporters
Main sponsor Samsung gave 10 talented students the chance to become
‘Samsung S Reporters’, part of the official ADE live broadcast team. The
‘Samsung S Reporter’ reported ADE by using a ‘Samsung Galaxy S4’ and shot
backstage footage, exclusive interviews with artists and daily ADE video reports
which were all seeded via a special ‘S Reporter’ website and the ADE platform.
