Gathering God’s People
Prelude
Preparatory Reading
For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you by
his poverty might become rich.
The Apostle Paul in 2 Corinthians 8:9

“Grace Alone”
Kensrue
I was an orphan lost at the fall, running away when I’d hear you call. But Father you worked your will. I had no righteousness
of my own; I had no right to draw near your throne, but Father you loved me still.
Chorus 1: And in love, before you laid the world’s foundation you predestined to adopt me as your own. You have raised
me up so high above my station; I’m a child of God by grace, and grace alone.
You left your home to seek out the lost. You knew the great and terrible cost, but Jesus your face was set. I worked my fingers
down to the bone; But nothing I did could ever atone, but Jesus you paid my debt.
Chorus 2: By your blood I have redemption and salvation. Lord you died that I might reap what you have sown and you
rose that I might be a new creation. I am born again by grace and grace alone.
Bridge: I was darkness all of my life. I never knew the day from the night but Spirit you made me see. I swore I knew the
way on my own, head full of rocks, a heart made of stone but Spirit, you moved in me.
And at your touch my sleeping spirit was awakened; On my darkened heart the light of Christ has shone. Called into a
kingdom that cannot shaken; Heaven’s citizen by grace, and grace alone.
So I’ll stand in faith by grace, and grace alone. I will run the race by grace, and grace alone. I will slay my sin by grace, and
grace alone. I will reach the end by grace, and grace alone.

“Jesus Lover Of My Soul”
No. 508
Jesus, lover of my soul, let me to thy bosom fly, while the nearer waters roll, while the tempest still is high: hide me, O my
Savior, hide, till the storm of life is past; safe into the haven guide, O receive my soul at last!
Other refuge have I none, hangs my helpless soul on thee; leave, ah! leave me not alone, still support and comfort me! All
my trust on thee is stayed, all my help from thee I bring; cover my defenseless head with the shadow of thy wing.
Thou, O Christ, art all I want; more than all in thee I find: raise the fallen, cheer the faint, heal the sick, and lead the blind.
Just and holy is thy name; I am all unrighteousness; false and full of sin I am, thou art full of truth and grace.
Plenteous grace with thee is found, grace to cover all my sin; let the healing streams abound; make and keep me pure within;
thou of life the fountain art, freely let me take of thee; spring thou up within my heart, rise to all eternity.
“Revelation Song”
Riddle
Worthy is the Lamb who was slain; Holy, holy is he; Sing a new song to him who sits on heaven’s mercy seat.
Chorus: Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty who was and is and is to come; with all creation I sing praise to the King
of kings; You are my everything and I will adore you.
Clothed in rainbows of living color, flashes of lightning, rolls of thunder; Blessing and honor, strength and glory and power
be to you, the only wise King.
Filled with wonder, awestruck wonder, at the mention of your name; Jesus, your name is power, breath and living water, such
a marvelous mystery.

Offertory “Gather at the River”
LaBarr
When peace, like a river, attendeth my way, when sorrows like sea billows roll; whatever my lot, thou hast taught me to say,
“It is well, it is well with my soul.” Though Satan should buffet, though trials should come, let this blest assurance control, that
Christ has regarded my helpless estate, and has shed his own blood for my soul. Yes, we’ll gather at the river, the beautiful,
the beautiful river. Gather with the saints at the river, the river that flows by the throne of God. And Lord, haste the day when
my faith shall be sight, the clouds be rolled back as a scroll, the trump shall resound and the Lord shall descend, even so it
is well with my soul. It is well with my soul. © 2014 Birnamwood Publications, CCLI# 74901

“The Grace of Giving: Generosity out of Poverty”
Tasting and Seeing God’s Word
Service of Communion “Here Is Love”
Lowry
Here is love, vast as the ocean, lovingkindness as the flood. When the Prince of life our ransom, shed for us his precious
blood. Who his love will not remember? Who can cease to sing his praise? He will never be forgotten throughout heav’n’s
eternal days.
On the mount of crucifixion, fountains opened deep and wide; through the floodgates of God’s mercy flowed a vast and
gracious tide. Grace and love, like mighty rivers poured incessant from above. Heaven’s peace and perfect justice kissed a
guilty world in love.
“How Deep the Father’s Love For Us”
Townend
How deep the Father’s love for us, how vast beyond all measure, that he should give his only Son to make a wretch his
treasure. How great the pain of searing loss, the Father turns his face away, as wounds which mar the Chosen One bring
many sons to glory.
Behold the man upon the cross, my sin upon his shoulders; ashamed I hear my mocking voice call out among the scoffers.
It was my sin that held him there, until it was accomplish’d; his dying breath has brought me life, I know that it is finish’d.
I will not boast in anything, no gifts, no pow’r, no wisdom; but I will boast in Jesus Christ, his death and resurrection. Why
should I gain from his reward? I cannot give an answer, but this I know with all my heart, his wounds have paid my ransom,
but this I know with all my heart, his wounds have paid my ransom.
