It’s open to the public from 7:30 am to Noon. A fun morning. The Outreach Card Party will be November 15. Tickets go on sale October 1. The menu will be Barb’s chicken salad plate or sub sandwich plate with side of macaroni salad and fruit. Also homemade baked goods for desert. We will have a 50/50, our $200 raffle and lots of prizes to give away. So come and have a good time with your friends playing your favorite game. NOMINATING COMMITTEE Dale Neubert and Joe Perrotta, Co-Chairs Five current members of the Board of Directors will complete a three-year term effective the first Monday in December. Those Board members are Sylvia Fels, Rona Goldman, Dale Neubert, Dave Roberts and Jackie Tower. We thank them for their years of service to the Center. Five members of the Center have stepped up and are qualified to run as candidates for the Board of Directors. Those members are Jack Blackledge, Rona Goldman, Jan Grest, Barbara Godwin-Hazel, and Loretta Sandy. During the application period, Board member Nancy Brainard resigned her position effective September 1, 2014 with one-year of her term remaining. As there are five candidates for six positions, no election will be held this Fall. The five candidates will be installed on Monday, December 1 at the Annual Inaugural Meeting. Anyone who is a member is good standing, has 50 hours of volunteer service between 7/1/2013 and 6/30/14, and has been a member of the Center for one year as of June 30 of this year and is interesting in being on the Board of Directors should contact Dale Neubert, Joe Perrotta or Rona Goldman at the Center. If a candidate is not found to complete the remaining one-year term, the position will be open until the next election when six (6) board members will be sought. NEW, EXCITING EVENT Alfie Silva coming to the Gold Room Lounge in October! Get ready for an entertaining evening on Sunday, October 19, 2014 from 4-7 pm at the Gold Room Lounge in Palm Bay (aka Main Hall in GPBSC). The Lounge will be featuring singer Alfie Silva, our local man of a thousand voices. Ladies, get those bras and panties ready! You might be listening to Tom Jones, Englebert Humperdinck, Elvis, or Julio Inglesis. Who knows, maybe Dean Martin or even Willie Nelson might be on the program.
