What is NK
Outreach?
The NK Outreach team delivers quality
sport, play and health activity across
the North Kesteven district, all year
round. The team delivers the list
alongside directly in communities:
The team also manages the Ascent
Indoor Climbing Wall at the North
Kesteven Centre, North Hykeham as a
follow-on climbing experience from the
mobile wall.
All equipment marked (H) is available
to hire at flexible rates both within and
outside North Kesteven district. Please
note, priority will go to those who are
within the district boundaries. All hire
includes equipment and full instruction/
supervision by the team.
POD
Mobile Half Pipe (H)
Free mobile play open to all.
We have various activities from
sport/ play to arts and crafts.
The POD is also wheelchair
accessible. Children aged eight
or under must be accompanied.
If attending for the first time, you
must register with us on the bus.
This piece of equipment is for
the more experience skater/ BMX
biker/ roller blader. The half-pipe
is semi-circular and can be set up
within an hour. Skateboards and
safety equipment provided.
NK Social Strollers
Free health walks open to all.
The scheme has walks for
different abilities from gentle to
striders. If walking for the first
time you must complete an
outdoor health questionnaire.
NK Buggy Walks
A new, free venture for the team.
Ideal for mums or dads who want
to join others with their little ones
and have a lovely walk with a
chance to natter afterwards with
a cup of coffee or tea.
GP Referral
Held at the North Kesteven
Centre, North Hykeham. This is
a free 12-week gym programme
which needs a referral by a GP/
Practice nurse.
Mobile Climbing
Wall (H)
The wall can have four climbers
on at any one time. Routes range
from very easy to very hard. As
long as you fit into a harness you
can have a go. All equipment
provided. Suitable clothing must
be worn, no skirts or dresses.
Medium
Skate Park (H)
A versatile piece of kit. We have
a selection of ramps including flat
banks, fly offs and launch ramps.
It can be set up in different sizes/
layouts on any hard flat surface;
will appeal to all abilities and
ages. Skateboards and safety
equipment provided.
Free Bound (H)
A selection of gym equipment
including cubes, vaulting horses,
mats, beams and steps to make
differing, fun obstacle courses.
Great to burn-off energy!

recreational equipment within villages, as well as
helped form committees for children and young
