Overview and Indications
Overview
The Anterior Staple Plates
– work with any monoaxial screw system,
– provide increased rotational stability,
– provide increased correctional strength and
– facilitate screw placement.
The Anterior Staple Plates are made of Titanium Alloy (TAN)
and are available in three different sizes:
For use with ⭋ 5.2 mm
screw or smaller.
Plate width: 15 mm
Plate length: 21 mm
For use with ⭋ 6.2 mm
screw or smaller.
Plate width: 16.5 mm
Plate length: 23 mm
For use with ⭋ 7.0 mm
screw or smaller.
Plate width: 18 mm
Plate length: 25 mm
Each staple plate size is available with three different hole
configurations:
Orientation of holes:
Parallel
Orientation of holes:
Inferior
Indications
– Spinal deformities (congenital, idiopathic, neuromuscular)
– Tumors
– Fractures
– Degnerative diseases

Determine staple plate size
Instruments
03.660.002
Trial Implant for Staple Plate, for
Screws ⭋ 5 mm
03.660.004
Trial Implant for Staple Plate, for
Screws ⭋ 6 mm
03.660.006
Trial Implant for Staple Plate, for
Screws ⭋ 7 mm
Use the trial implants to select the appropriate staple plate
size.

Assemble inserter
Instrument
03.650.000
Inserter for Staple Plate
Slide the threaded inserter shaft into the cannulated inserter
instrument and turn it clockwise.
3
Capture staple
Align the inserter with the staple plate and turn the inserter
shaft clockwise to secure the plate.

4
Seat staple plate
Drive the staple plate spikes through the cortical bone of the
vertebral body. Seat the plate by striking the inserter with a
small mallet.
5
Assemble construct
Complete the construct with any monoaxial screw system
with rods. Pangea Monoaxial screws were used for construct
shown in picture
Note: The screw length chosen should achieve a bicortical
purchase.
