Who can vote?
A Canadian citizen who is at least 18 years of age, and lives in Brampton, or owns or rents property in Brampton or is the spouse of a person who owns or rents property in Brampton

voter eligibility confirming:

proof of Canadian Citizenship (see list on opposite side)

Applicant, confirm verbally that
information is true, and have applicant
sign Application.
There are NO EXCEPTIONS to this requirement. The applicant must provide
proof for all 3 eligibility requirements, DO NOT sign the Application until these
requirements have been met.
When satisfied everything is complete
and correct, Revision Officer will sign
and date under “For Election Official
Use Only”.
Note: You can only add a person to the Voter’s List if he/she is qualified to
vote at that voting location (person’s address is assigned to your voting
location) – otherwise direct them to their designated location.

Applicant, confirm verbally that information is
true, and have applicant sign Application.
A person can only delete his/her own name,
unless the person to be deleted is deceased
(accept the Application to delete if person advises
their spouse is deceased – no death certificate
required).
When satisfied everything is complete and
correct, Revision Officer will sign and date
under “For Election Official Use Only”.
Provide original Application to a DRO to place
in Envelope E.

For School Board Purposes:
A person who wants to vote for a Catholic
School Board must be Roman Catholic
A person who wants to vote for a French
School Board must have French Language
Rights under the Charter of Rights and
Freedoms
The voter does not need to provide proof.

Any document from a Band Council in Ontario established under the
Indian Act (Canada)
An income tax assessment notice
A Child Tax Benefit Statement
A Statement of Employment Insurance Benefits Paid T4E
