Our sincere thanks goes out to Pamela’s family who have recently donated a large sum of her estate toward the refurbishment of the Tootgarook Holiday house. This donation will enable the Oakleigh Centre to continue it’s operations of the beach retreat for years to come. A special mention to Jane Carnegie for organising the donation, and her nieces and nephews for their support. Winter Appeal A special thank you to all the Rec-Line family and friends that donated to the Oakleigh Centre Winter Appeal this year. We have raised approximately $15000 from this appeal to go towards the cost of repainting the Tootgarook Holiday house. REC-LINE TERMS AND CONDITIONS WEEKDAY AND WEEKEND ACTIVITIES All activities must be booked in advance and cancellations require 48 hours notice for a full refund. All meals, activities, transport, staff support & accommodation are included in the cost unless specified. For all holidays, the meeting & collection point is the Oakleigh Centre GROUP SIZES: High support offers full bathroom assistance, assistance with transferring, personal care, with 1:2 staff support provided. Medium support offers supervision of personal care, with some assistance, with 1:3 staff support provided. Low support is no supervision required for personal care with 1:4 staff support provided. *Carers are asked to keep in mind that some people with a disability may require a higher level of assistance while on holidays with unfamiliar staff and surroundings. FEES: The charge for the Tootgarook holidays listed have two costs. The Ex-KRS charge is applicable to any person who lived at Kew Cottages Residential Services, in recognition of the “gift” of the Tootgarook Holiday House to the Oakleigh Centre from Kew Cottages Parents Association in November 2009. Invoices are sent out each month and can be receipted by EFTPOS, cash or cheque payment. Direct debit can also be arranged. A non-refundable deposit is required to confirm all booking for holidays. The Rec-Line prices include staff & volunteer support costs, transport charges, meals, snacks and drinks where indicated, administrations costs and applicable entrance fees. INSURANCE & CANCELLATION: Insurance is not included in the advertised price of any holiday unless specified, and is highly recommended for every advertised holiday and Rec-Line can assist with an individual quote. The Cancellation Policy for Rec-Line holidays states that “If a client cancels a holiday, a substitute person will be sought if possible”. However, the following cancellation charges will apply if a substitute cannot be found. Victorian & Interstate Holidays: Less than 7 days: no refund 8 to 20 days 50% refund of the balance 21 to 39 days 75% refund of the balance The Board of Directors has determined that in the event of a cancellation of a booked activity or holiday by a participant a fee will apply to cover administration and/or other expenses. OTHER CONDITIONS: The holiday participant is liable for any damage to property or persons which they may cause. All personal belongings are the responsibility of the participant and Rec-Line recommends that all luggage and all clothing and personal items should be labelled. Rec-Line is not responsible for any items lost or damaged on holiday. Rec-Line reserves the right to withdraw holiday participation from anyone whose behaviour is likely to affect the smooth operation of the holiday or adversely affect the enjoyment or safety of other holiday participants. In such an event the participant will cover the full cost of the participants return from the holiday. Rec-Line is under no liability to such person and no refund will be forthcoming in such circumstances. Applicable GST included in prices as per legislation.
