Introduction
The LAND "LSP-HD" infrared line scanner has been developed for harsh operating
environments. It has the same dimensions as the previous version, which means
that it can be exchanged without any modification of the mounting attachments.
The temperature ranges, which are preselected to cover a wide selection of
industrial applications, combined with improved simplicity and competitive pricing
make the LSP-HD infrared line scanner the first choice for infrared process
visualization.

The PCS 7 "Landscan" technology block enables the connection and monitoring
of the LSP-HD on PCS 7 by means of open TCP/IP communication.

Requirements
Software requirement
You can use the "Landscan" technology block from PCS 7 V8.0 SP1 onwards.
System requirements
The PCS 7 Landscan technology block enables the connection and monitoring of
the LSP-HD infrared line scanner on PCS 7 by means of open TCP/IP
communication.

Installation
2.3.1
Installing the technology block
The following steps must be carried out to install the Landscan technology block
and its associated faceplate:
1. Run Setup.exe
2. Select an installation folder (recommended: default setting)
3. Install the Landscan technology block
4. Exit the installation
Note
The setup does not install a GSD file.
Install the GSD file that you received from the LSP-HD manufacturer.
If the default installation folder was selected, the following files and folders will be
copied to C:\Program Files\Siemens\:

Installing the GSD file
Install the GSD file supplied by the manufacturer in the HW Config via "Extras >
Install GSD files…".
The LSP-HD line scanner will then be stored in the hardware catalog in the profile.

The technology block was created with SCL and can be called up in CFC and also
in FUP.
If no message processing is to take place, the block can also be installed without
ALARM_8P support in S7-300.

1. Create a data block.
2. Drag the "Landscan" technology block from the "Landscan" catalog into a CFC
chart.
Enter the created data block number at the "Con_DBnr" input.
3. Enable the communication by setting input "En_Con = 1".

Example
If alarm limits are required for temperature displays, the technology block can be
connected to the "MonAnL" PCS 7 standard block. Thus different alarm limits can
be assigned to each zone by means of separate "MonAnL" blocks.
