Materials Science and Engineering, Rutgers University (2013) Ph.D. Materials Science and Engineering, Rutgers University (October 2014 expected) Research Experience Low‐energy formation processes for non‐oxide ceramics (2012 – Present) Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, New Brunswick, NJ Brookhaven National Laboratory, Upton, NY Development of low‐energy methods for densifying ultrahigh‐temperature ceramics funded by Office of Naval Research. Work focused on rapid densification of zirconium diboride ceramic powder compacts utilizing applied electric fields at low temperatures; also known as “flash sintering.” Advanced in‐situ lithium‐ion battery characterization (2011 – Present) Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, New Brunswick, NJ Brookhaven National Laboratory, Upton, NY Research project in collaboration with leading industrial battery manufacturer. Work focused on measuring variation of critical performance parameters in large lithium iron phosphate cells with attention to electric vehicle applications. Employment History Chromocell Corporation, North Brunswick, NJ Information Technology Manager (2006 ‐2011) Head of Information Technology for one of New Jersey's leading as well as fastest‐growing biotechnology firms. Worked closely with CEO and CSO aligning technology with corporate goals by designing solutions, policies, and procedures to support scientific research and administrative functions. Inspired by the many scientists around me, I left to pursue PhD full time and carry out a research thesis. Patents T. Tsakalakos, E. K. Akdoğan, İ. Şavklıyıldız, H. Biçer, W. Paxton, B. Visser, L.
