The BIOMET 3i Synergy Training Program (STP) offers interactive education and comprehensive training in all aspects of restorative implant
dentistry. This educational continuum provides the tools, skills and confidence to successfully incorporate and grow the dental implant
segment of the restorative practice. This restorative continuum focuses on diagnosis, treatment planning and the definitive restoration by
following patients through the dental implant process during the course of the program. By training the entire team, confidence and new skills

Maintenance of peri-implant health following osseointegration has become a
hot topic as the attention of clinicians placing dental implants has increasingly
shifted from achieving initial implant osseointegration and function to successfully
maintaining superior aesthetics throughout the lifetime of the implant. The
development of peri-implant disease can seriously compromise initial aesthetic
results. This presentation on the prevention of peri-implant mucositis and
peri-implantitis will discuss measures for designing appropriate prostheses and
abutments, creating an ideal soft-tissue environment and choosing the right implant
surface. An algorithm will be presented to assist clinicians in identifying peri-implant
health and disease and managing peri-implant complications effectively when they
do occur. This program will include didactic and hands-on exercises.

At the completion of the course, participants should be able to:
• Have a working knowledge of the importance of establishing and maintaining
peri-implant health
TUITION:
$699 per registration
Includes continental breakfast and lunch
• Understand the prevalence and potential causes of peri-implant disease
Groups of five or more registrants will

Full Arch Rehabilitation: Removable and Fixed
Treatment Solutions
Presented by: Michael Scherer, DMD, MS
and Curtis E. Jansen, DDS
DATE:
Day One: Friday, October 17, 2014
Day Two: Saturday, October 18, 2014
VENUE:
Hilton Costa Mesa
3050 Bristol Street
Costa Mesa, CA 92626
714-540-7000
TIME:
Registration: 7:30am
Seminar: 8:00am – 4:30pm
Course Overview:
Patients with debilitated or missing dentition are potential candidates for implantsupported therapy to improve their smiles, confidence, and overall health. Various
treatment options should be presented to patients; these may include accelerated
therapy with single-stage surgery and placement of an immediate provisional
restoration on the same day. The decision-making process depends on a balance
between patient preference, patient finances, and clinical factors. Once the clinician
understands the patient’s desire for his or her smile, an ideal treatment plan can
be presented. Because the choice of fixed versus removable options for both
provisional and definitive prostheses is often the most difficult step in treatment
planning, special attention will be given to considerations for both.
This program will include didactic and hands-on exercises.
Course Objectives:

experience, the number of registrants is limited for each course. Registration is accepted
on a first-come, first-served basis. BIOMET 3i reserves the right to cancel courses that
